Men will absolutely have sex with a girl regardless of her status. It might not be the draw but it is certainly not a deterrent.

My guess is because women are thinking long term and calculating for the future whereas men are just hoping to get laid.

As a evolutionary biology major I think it’s It’s simply ingrained in women to seek out protection in our partners and men to protect/provide.

Childbirth/rearing is a vulnerable state to be in and we need a strong partner to be by our side in this process. At one time it was the physically strongest male, nowadays it’s the man with the most financial security and social status.
Yes, women are actually sexually aroused by success, social power and protective qualities. Women’s sexual attraction is less visual than men’s. Women’s form of porn is often plot based. “Prince Charming” narratives have been popular with women all throughout human history.
(Acknowledging there are exceptions) Men similarly are aroused by the idea of protecting and “saving” a woman. Many men fantasise about saving their crush in a “damsel in destress” type scenario. Men want to feel needed and since they can’t bare children, they have a subconscious desire to make up for it by providing for them.

Actors are weird cases because oftentimes women are projecting lust for a fictional character onto the man.

You will rarely see women lusting after unattractive high-status men who aren't actors. Have you ever seen a woman unironically say she wants Bill Gates to blow her back out?

it’s personality and mannerisms. these guys act a certain really attractive way to some women in movies. if a woman saw adam driver and he acted the same cool rehearsed way he does in movies they’d be attracted to him in another situation too.

I guess it's tied to women taking into consideration more things than just appearance. Not all women do it and not all men don't, sure, but on average women probably have more interest in non-visual traits than men do.

Having said that I have no idea whether celebrities' groupies are "really" attracted to them. Do you think it's real attraction if they're into their status/money? Or maybe they admire their talent? Have no idea.

I've seen so many studies that point to women being just as superficial about looks as men or more. Matter of fact you can see it in the tinder women. 80/20 applies very well. I think looks is above all. Look at the research

Men are less likely to find less conventionally attractive women attractive, so even when a woman is famous so a large amount of men know who she is still very few of these men will find her attractive.

1) It's biology. Men care about a woman's looks, youth, reproductive health, attitude and femininity. A woman's money, fame and even social status doesn't matter when it comes to attraction.

2) If a man says that he finds a woman's money, fame etc to be attractive or adds to his attraction to her. I probably wouldn't think it's real.

3) Because Lizzo is not physically attractive to most men. And that's what men value in women.

Men and women are different and want different things in each other mating selection wise.

Men and Woman are both interested in a partners “status” and also their own. It’s just that Men and Woman derive their status in very different ways.

A Man’s status and his resulting attractiveness to Woman is almost always linked to his ability to provide resources. Even the wealthiest most independently minded Woman have been hardwired by evolution to seek out the most high status Man- as status usually implies an ability to provide and protect. Woman are not only interested in the most genetically attractive Man to mate with. They are also interested in his ability to provide for her and the resulting off spring. A Woman’s own status within the tribe/society is linked to the status of the man she is able to attract.

Men by contrast have only been hardwired to be interested in the genetic component of their partner. Human’s have evolved over hundreds of thousand of years but it’s only been the last few decades that Woman have started to a move away from being almost totally reliant on Men for their protection and resources. Culture may have shifted but biological instinct( and how it dictates sexual attraction) certainly hasn’t.

This is why a hot young friendly barista will always be more attractive to any guy than a dominant plain Jane multi-millionaire CEO. He is not interested in her resources or ability to “protect” him. He is only interested in her genetic make-up and her nurturing qualities.

It’s also important to note that a Man’s personal status is often directly linked to how physically attractive his partner is. He can have all the money, job titles, and power in the world but if doesn’t also “possess” an attractive partner his social status is diminished.

Plenty of women care about looks the same as men do, but the way a person presents themselves and personality tends to weigh a bit more into attraction for women than it does for men. Hence women finding men who showcase more of their personality (or a persona) such as actors and musicians more attractive than just a random hot guy. Women aren’t lusting after guys who just have status but don’t display personality. The men you listed are all famous actors, women aren’t professing their desire for Jeff Bezos.

As for the few who will get with a guy just because he has status, for some it’s because they find the fact that he has status attractive but I think mainly it’s about bragging rights or that they hope it will elevate their own status somehow. It doesn’t work the same way for men because society doesn’t values women the same just for having status, women are valued much more on looks. A man hooking up with a hot waitress is gonna impress other men more than him sleeping with an unattractive ceo.
