I just dropped my kids off at school after my weekend and don't have them until Wed night. My STBX and I just started our temp custody arrangement (57/43).

The first night was rough. My 7-year old was afraid to sleep in his room with his sister (3), but she was gung ho for her new bed. We spent a lot of time playing and just getting used to the apartment but every new sound freaked them out (someone's vacuum cleaner, sirens, etc.) Last night, both of them ended up in my bed between 12PM and 4AM.

But I got them to school early and my daughter looked awesome in pigtails I braided for her. I let their Mom come along because I want to smooth this transition. The kids were assholes to her, but I stomped that shit out. I know she was judging everything I did, and don't care. It was funny to hear the preschool teachers say "you look so pretttyyy" to my daughter in front of my STBX.
