I think women, but not for the reasons espoused on PPD such as hypergamy, too much casual sex with hot dudes. Commitment that eventually leads to marriage is still seen by many people as the only acceptable dating context for women. Women are still judged by whether a guy takes them seriously after sex, and by whether their long term boyfriend proposes or not. None of this applies when genders are reversed. I very rarely hear people making condescending comment about men getting pumped and dumped or remining as forever boyfriends. In fact, it's almost always assumed that both of these situations where driven by men at the expense of women.

When your range of socially acceptable behavior is narrower than that of the person you engage in that behavior with, a scarcity mentality develops. I suspect that it's quite common for women who hold marriage as the ultimate goal to commit to men they don't feel excited about just because the man is willing to commit back.

That said, men also experience pressure to settle down at some point and when that happens, some of them also end up marrying a woman because that's who's available at the moment.

Women. Guys can’t date and have casual above their league. All men know is mediocre, so you can’t miss anything you never had. Same goes for women, but they delude themselves into thinking they had better. He’s not yours, it’s just your turn.

I'd say women as it is women that are generally the ones who have harboured unrealistic delusional expectations at some point in their lives, usually in their 20s, in regards to looking for a partner.

Which is in stark contrast to the vast majority of men who have almost from the outset in no uncertain terms given no alternative but to temper any unrealistic standards in terms of looking for a partner from very early on in their dating experience.

Both settle down equally, but for different reasons. Women settle down because they couldn't lock down a Chad and have wasted too much time until they get old and now needs to get a husband asap.

Men on the other hand settle down because they don't even have any options to begin with, and their lack of dating experience makes them oblivious to the fact their wife has settled for him.

Now, women have an easy solution for this, by trying to lock down a Chad very early, preferably in her early 20s, I believe a Chad in his late 20s or 30s will happily commit to a beautiful 18-23 year old woman who is a 10/10 and is loyal. While on the other hand men don't have an easy fix other than becoming a Chad themselves, which takes ALOT of work.

who feels they settle more? women, who actually settles more? men, remember that for the average a shitty relationship with sex with someone he is not that attracted to is better than no relationship at all, "but how can a man sleep with someone he is not that attracted to?" a weird thing about male biology/psychology is that it is not difficult for us to feel sexually aroused by someone we re not attracted to, in fact we can easily detach sex from love ie the reason why most dudes will sleep with women they have in the friendzone but the same cant be said about women, it also explains why women on average apparently have more options, apparently. Thats why i cringe so much when i see a woman thinking she is hot shit because of a bunch of desperate dudes hitting on her "oh i get any man i want, men are cheap and easy, whatever man i want i get doesnt matter how much of a bitch i am", like my pretty cousin says "so many ugly bitches with their egoes above the clouds because of drooling losers who would hit on anything"

Lots of women don't understand the difference between a woman getting sex and a man getting sex. So they wonder why the hot guys who had sex with them wouldn't marry them.

When I was younger fat women would always tell me how "it's so easy to get dates" and stuff like that or "women are easy to understand I'm not sure how you don't get us" when you fail to get a date

I don’t think it matters who settles more. The fact of the matter is both men and women made a conscious decision to pair off with someone which means to them the person they settled down with is good enough for them to live happily with. If you’re not OK with somebody, then you just say no thanks and either find someone else or choose to stay single. Nobody is forced to be in a relationship, so what’s it matter who settles more? It’s like asking do people prefer a cherry icee or a blue raspberry icee at the end of the day the answer doesn’t affect anything.
