Most couples don't delegate leadership to one partner and they just split stuff they're responsible for and share lots of other responsibilities. Putting all responsibility on men infantilizes women and turns them into kids in relationships, I don't think it works like this even in traditional relationships, let alone egalitarian ones.

Well no one should really lead a relationship this is something that’s between two people. Sure In the traditional sense men were the leaders in relationships if you want that then by all means but a relationship takes two people not one. But again it all depends on what the person wants in my household my mom was the woman of the house I guess and that just was the personality dynamic they both communicated and handled situations together but my mom was definitely the assertive one just based off her personality. So this isn’t much of a debate and more of a what the person wants in a relationship there’s nothing wrong with traditional same way there’s nothing wrong with something different as long as the people in the relationship are happy

No, the man is not supposed to lead the relationship. You're supposed to be equal partners. You're both supposed to hold up your end of the relationship. Dead bedrooms happen for a variety of reasons - illness, childbirth, having small children running around, stress, lack of time, and gradually growing apart, among others. Both men and women have a responsibility to each other to maintain a healthy sex life.

The man leading the relationship is the female ideal, though exactly what that leadership looks like varies. Also, to lead, the man has to have a key competence and dominance advantage over the woman in key qualities. Given no artificial advantage to men to assist in this anymore, it is not feasible for all women to have this type of relationship.

It's bad if he tries to lead and doesn't actually have the qualities and edge over her to do so. Better to do something else. A true hypergamous match is the female IDEAL, for MOST women. But it is not the only path to happiness for a woman.

What does this even mean. "The bucks stops with"? I don't understand, but this sounds ridiculous. No partner should have more say than the other, that's how you kill a relationship or start generating hatred, unless they magically always make the decision somehow both of them want. Or the other person not making the decisions just has no backbone or doesn't care.

Most relationships I've seen really last any amount of time is when both people are constantly communicating, and always making their decisions together.

I think competent men should lead in a relationship. Leadership typically comes with a lot more risks and sacrifice than rewards. It also comes with responsibility. Not just in the sense that man is ultimately responsible for everything that happens in that house hold. But from the perspective of wielding power. Like holding his followers accountable, while assigning responsibility to the followers, listening and Knowing when to seed power permanently or temporarily. The most important quality is knowing when to walk away. Not all followers are worth leading. And if your follower is disrespectful and refuses to be held responsible for her decisions. Then that means there is a lack of respect. Last time I checked, it's never good to be around people who do not respect you.

The most important thing any man must secure is a woman's respect. Forget her love, forget her charm, forget her sex and forget looks. Non of that matters if a woman does not respect you.

Do you live in the Middle East? Western women aren’t normally submissive to men, they have rights and the ability to provide for themselves. They don’t need men as women say.

The control is the woman normally in the west. The guy normally has less options than the woman so the women can easily replace this man while the guy might go through a dry spell or might not get anyone. Plus if they married, the woman can easily divorce the man and take half of his stuff. What leadership power do men have in a relationship?
