Anyone saying posts like this don't belong here is either a simp, stupid or some kind of shill. These vigilante groups in some cases have 50k or even 100k members. In the vast majority of them people say defamatory things without any proof or evidence to back up their claims. Other times it's literally just gossip like "his dick is small" or "he is insecure about x" like high school, but for mostly bitter 35+ aged women.

In the U.S., right of privacy laws vary a bit from state to state, but generally speaking it is not illegal to publicly post a photo of someone.

That’s off track however. The problem with this isn’t right of privacy, the problem is like MeToo it’s a venue prone to false accusations. Any woman who had a bad breakup or for other reasons dislikes a guy can simply post a photo of him insinuating or right out claiming he’s a cheater, no proof required. It’s more of a defamation of character issue.

I almost feel like stooping to their level is the answer. Fighting fire with fire. Creating groups like “These Women Post on Slander Sites” and making the world aware. Put up fliers and posters around town; why not. Rent a highway billboard and feature the most common contributors, lol.

In public you have no expectation of privacy in such a way. What might be able to happen is harassment.

Now what's interesting here is when enough people report the group - Facebook will be made "aware" and since they've clearly decided to allow the group to exist even with the harassment this may allow you to name them in a lawsuit and they won't have the protections they'd normally have. It'll just take this happening to someone who can afford such a lawsuit.
