There is a recent post in this Reddit community that discussing how should men act to counteract modern feminism and discrimination men face on daily basis. In the argument OP mentions action of men on the Titanic (sacrificing their lives to have as many children and women survive as possible) and how should men act now.

There are a lot of “children first and everyone else for themselves” comments. I get it, Titanic is just an example. Fine. Will those people stop doing their responsibilities at home to “stand up” for mens rights? Will they get back to playing their psp if they see their wife attacked by a stranger? Do those people think that the best strategy to be respected is by ditching their responsibilities to women until you get respect? What makes them any different from that a modern feminist? What do they deserve to be respected for? Same men will then go onto other posts, commenting “look how feminism is destroying families”.

I believe that men and women are equal but different. Men AND women both have their responsibilities. For example, men traditionally are protectors. By far, not all women are feminists and take care of their responsibilities. Why would you hurt those women?

When I joined, I thought that the purpose of this community is to unite men to fight for their rights. Lately it’s turning into a male version of modern feminism. I will NEVER join a male version of feminism just because some purple haired lunatic screams that they don’t need men. Screw her. I have responsibilities that I need to take care of.
