I think the crazy thing about us guys is we can go from being bums to badasses in no time, we can go from being fat fucks to ripped beach dudes, we can go from sucking at sports to basically dominating them, you get the idea

But where I do think a lot of us fail to prosper is our social persona

Now us men we're pretty action and work-oriented on average meaning we like to express ourselves more thru accomplishments and goals rather than social endeavors

But what I think this does is it only hampers our social abilities and skills a bit more

We men can forget how to gauge good reactions in social & dating situations

We're so focused on being human doings we forget to be human beings

Seriously hardly any piece of advices for men tell us how to be better friends or even better dating partners

Most of the self improvement content is aimed to make a man more goal driven which is fine by me, but can we become too goal oriented to the point where we forget to put our emotional needs where they matter?

Hardly do you see men being told how to have better social confidence, better confidence around women (or other men if they're gay), how to read the energy in a room(in other words have better intuition in social situations), how to read body language, stuff that would prevent us from being socially retarded in the first place

But why is this? Is this a social engineering feat to make men seem more socially and romantically stunted than what they are?

So what do I think the solution is here?

My solution would probably be then for men to practice a bit of social un-masking and act how they would with random strangers to act the same towards family or friends or even their partners

Social masking is one of those things that mentally and emotionally taxes us all, especially the neurodivergent like autists, schizophrenics, bipolars, etc

Would men having better advice on how to be social beings improve the dating scene drastically? I believe totally so

But what do you really think, honestly?
