Its terrible advice because it pretends like the women a man meets online are fundamentally different than what he's going to see outside and they are not.

Whether you meet a woman online or somewhere else, her standards are going to be very high and you probably arent going to get a real chance with her.

Its the same pool of women that overlap.....obviously. Unless you really think there's a seperate pool of women who are never outside that do the apps.

Typically men tend to self isolate and that compounds whatever problems they have with socializing and dating. Self isolation is just another way to stay in the nursery...where it's nice and warm and safe and it doesn't spike your anxiety and fear. Unfortunately, that's what boys do. Not men.

Alright so I dance as a hobby. Women do indeed have more realistic expectations at dance (because it’s not a cold approach).

However, I’m not there to fuck women, I’m there to dance and have fun. The women there are my friends and I want it to stay that way because I actually like to dance and it’s weird for everyone when sexual/romantic feelings come into the equation. So, I prefer to meet women elsewhere.

For me, cold approaching in real life was no better than dating apps. Actually it was a little worse. Despite being incredibly undervalued on both, I had more success on dating apps because when you match you KNOW they are interested as opposed to having to guess in real life.

Then I see men complaining about women and online dating and, rather than being heard and acknowledged, people always try to blame them, invalidate them, and/or deflect blame from women with things like “go touch grass” or “get off dating apps”. “Touching grass” does nothing to address the tendency for women to undervalue and stigmatize random men and set mountainous initial expectations for them to climb to get a chance.

That doesn’t mean the advice has zero benefit for someone situationally, it’s just that, highly situational, and it’s not good advice in general. Also, a lot of times when a woman says “touch grass” it isn’t even really intended as advice. It’s just a mechanism to invalidate the man’s dating concerns and deflect blame from women.

Talking to women and trying to sleep with them is good advice, nothing else is. Being able to make friends only leads to being able to be friendzoned.

For most guys, Cold approaches should be something you do rarely, when particularly moved by a woman or there is a special situation. Doing them all the time as a normal guy is bad for everyone. If you are super hot, then do more, since you will be rejected much more rarely and annoy others more rarely as well.
