Dude you need to put this in front of a judge right now and seek an order of protection. If it is convincing enough, you can do it ex parte. Forget the PIs, this is a slam dunk for assumption of full custody.

Dude.... go to the police and plead your case. Take a couple days off work. Call your parents. Friends. Get help to watch the kids. Call any lawyer. Exhaust every resource. If you have evidence of abuse, then get something happening NOW

It’s insane that you have to “prove your case” when if it were reversed you’d be sitting in a jail cell by the report alone.

Feel for ya, don’t know what I’d do in that situation. Know what I’d want to do and how crazy it would drive me knowing that if I acted on instinct alone it would be even worse on the kids.

ok everyone armchair quarterbacking saying go to police, go to judge etc etc needs to shut the hell up. This crap advice is NOT going to help OP at all in any jurisdiction.

Here is my advice OP -

The reality of the situation is that somehow CPS was not involved with the rape nurse thing (never heard of a rape nurse btw, I assume you are referring to a nurse who does rape kits).

THIS is odd, any sexual injury to a minor is mandatory report so I don't know what is going on there. And you most likely are not getting the whole story. My guess is that this is either recent and all the players like CPS investigation, rape kit analysis have not been done or complete. OR the OP has been completely misled on the state of things.

Ok so first things first, have you run a complete background check on Romeo Boyfriend? A PI can help with this and get his full run up, where he works if he has other girlfriends (handy data) if he's into illegal activities etc. A reputable PI should charge at most a few hundred for that. Ask your attorney to recommend one. a good one who also uses modern internet databases you don't want some gumshoe type saying he needs to do a stake out at 100s an hour.

IF you are lucky said BF has a criminal history and maybe outstanding warrants. If he does then a PI might be able to "refer" this ner'do'well to local LE for apprehension.

Second, You need to get the full story about any sexual abuse allegations quickly. There is no reason to go to a judge if all you have is half the story and no evidence. This may take time, and I would leverage an ATTORNEY NOT a PI to do the digging for what the heck is going on.

Third, You as a parent do have standing on behalf of your minor child to initiate a CIVIL suit for alleged sexual abuse performed by BF. Gathering evidence to support this case could allow an attorney hired by you to discover facts and evidence that for some reason was not produced in your recent family court.

There are ways to get action and get movement that you need to have happen to protect your child. But going to the police raving about things you don't have evidence about yet IS NOT THE WAY TO DO THIS.

Take the advice above utilize your lawyer to find out more. Maybe have him a refer a PI to help. And have him refer you to a civil litigation attorney familiar with the law and sexual abuse claims.

This will be a FAR FAR better course of action than going to Judges and Police who without EVIDENCE cannot help you.

Healthcare professionals are required by law to report to the policy cases of suspected child abuse. What the authorities do after that is often perplexing at best. You need to take the medical reports to the local sheriff or police. Unless your agreement prevents it, you should remove your children immediately.

Remember the powers only care about official evidence. If you have medical reports get those and then go to the appropriate LEO for your area. The family court judge is NOT the right person, they only care what the other official authorities site.

Your goal is to have the medical records and a police report / investigation, so that if the judge decides not to take action you can press the issue.

I'm in NC also and just got off the phone with a PI, his retainer is $2,000. He said they try and get as much done with that budget as possible, and before more is billed it must be agreed upon by me.
