Feminists always talk about womens emotional labor and unpaid labor, but they completely ignore all the silent expectations on men.

Both in relationships and social settings, men are generally expected to bare whatever the burden is. To be less comfortable, to do dangerous manual work, to run downstairs if someone breaks it, men are always expected to be less comfortable and less safe for women's benefit. And sure, the man probably has the better shot against the home invaders, but it would be nice if men could get some graditude, rather than the pure hatred we get 24/7.

Oncoming female pedestrians often do this as well, at least where I live. Some will walk in front of you after they cross the road, expecting you to move out the way. Anyone else notice this?

Also, I will hold a door open for anyone not just women so it's nothing to do with chivalry.

Thankfully, my wife prefers walking and walks all over the town without me and when we are together walking we don't follow any damn rules. Most of the time we are cutting across parking lots, railroad tracks, and alleys that don't see any traffic.

This is such an insane fallacy for women to make up, just to fault or attack men. It's almost as bad as trying to use horoscopes to determine who they date.

For starters, the idea that the outside position on a sidewalk is "more dangerous" is entirely fictitious. If there was a danger, it could come from either side. If you're walking on a side walk and you're afraid of car suddenly driving onto the pedestrian lane, it probably won't make a difference which side you're on. Whether you are on the inside or outside, you are in the same position to get hit by a car, help your partner move out of the way or stand there unable to do anything as a vehicle hits your partner. There's also certainly plenty of other dangers that could come the inside of the sidewalk, like an unseen assailant just waiting around a corner or foreign objects falling from above.

Secondly, any woman that follows this reasoning and allows a man to take a "more dangerous position" for her sake, is demonstrating that she does not value his life/safety and putting herself above him. Even by your own twisted logic, that is not a good quality to maintain. If a woman truly wished to maintain this imaginary preconception that the outside lane is more dangerous, then at the very least she should also be willing to take that position as well in order to keep him safe from harm as well, which makes it an entirely moot point.

What's more is that you're effectively trying to attack men for your own delusion, because most men probably aren't thinking about this at all. It would be like trying to shame men for not protecting women from ghosts and possible alien abductions, because they don't carry a cross or wear a tin helmet around.

This type of stuff is, if anything, just another blatant example of toxic femininity. It is unrealistic and completely unjustifiable expectations being placed on men, by women, for things that just shouldn't exist and only exists because neither men or women seem to be willing or able to hold women accountable for their insane delusions.

They demand equality, to be independent of men, to not be held to their traditional roles in society..yet also, in the same breath, demand that men act in a traditional manner, paying for everything, acting as protector and provider and being willing to lay down his life for her should the situation warrant it. Fuck that shit girls. You’re on your own, you wanted it, you got it…fight your own battles. I for one won’t do shit for you unless it’s in my own best interests. You will be afforded the same treatment I offer men.

You walk on the outside of the path not to absorb vehicle impacts, but to keep splashes and dirt from your date.
You walk up the stairs first and down second, to avoid upskirting.
Always ask the plainest girls to dance as well as the pretty ones.

What nonsense. I like to walk on the inside because that's where the shops are. But the outside is better for people watching, so it's a pretty fair trade. And, of course, the side closest to cliff edges or water has the best view when hiking.
