It's more acceptable, certainly. There are subs on reddit like the TwoXX one, which spew such undistilled anti-male hatred, that any normal person would recoil in horror and disgust.

Anything less than 1000% support of anything women do will get you attacked, deleted, banned, and cancelled. This includes saying anything positive about men. Misandry is totally allowed, though, even encouraged. Say how horrible men are and get tons of likes or up votes. Even at work, co-workers talk openly about how much men suck. It's all completely fine.

Sexism against women is absolutely a thing on social media, but I suppose the difference lies in the reaction to the pushback. If someone says something sexist about a woman/women, you can rightfully call them out and not get shamed for it. If someone says something sexist about a man/men, calling them out makes you sound like an MRA or a misogynist.

It seems like, to some people, defending men too much/caring to much about them is indicative of bigotry against women. If you’re a girl, and you do it, then you’re a pick-me.

It is. Gen Z women are the worst generation of women ever. They are consumerist, so they don’t save money. They are not independent. They expect fairy tale tik tok lives. They work full time but can’t budget. They are misandrist and expect to not have to split bills 50/50

This has existed since social media really took off. I have very vivid memories of when I was around 16 and seeing trends like #killallmen #menaretrash2k16 etc etc. all those hashtags vanished in 2019 and everyone acts like it never happened. The cycle of hatred is just being repeated on tik tok

I think they did a study and found out it actually is a while back, but because women are more neurotic by nature they reported it more or got offended by it more, and did not really know how to handle friendly banter with guys in gaming for example. You know how guys like to rib on each other for various things, but it is all in good fun, especially when it comes to things that are competative like sports or gaming, well women don't do that anywhere near as much typically and from what I remember they found the "bullying" was more against guys than women.

Hell, I think anyone that is an actual gamer of variety and has been long enough knows that if you want to get free stuff and a lot of voluntary help and friend requests or guild invites from random strangers in gamesl ike diablo for example, the easiest way to do it is to pretend to be a woman.

Then look at simple debates which are very common onine as well as sharing jokes that might be dirty or sexual in nature. Guys comparitively rarely get offended to the point they want to report people if a debate gets heated or they are offended by something someone said. Hell, HR departments IRL are regularly pulling guys in for some woman getting offended by some random joke or criticism a guy made that had nothing to do with that person or trying to offend people.

You feel that way because it is. Misandry is about a billion times more common online than misogyny. It's in the Guardian, it's in the New York Times. It's taught in schools and it's policy in the court room. It's standard procedure in corporate America and in government institutions. Misandry is literally societally acceptable.

Some men are angry. Some of those angry men are misogynists. But the mainstream and common opinion from any woman about men is misandry.

Y'know, I don't seem to remember the last time I saw actual misogyny online that wasn't either a response to blatant misandry, or a logical explanation of men's perspective which was rejected by women just because they don't benefit women.

That, or they might all have been downvoted to oblivion and hence we never see them.

Duh lol, the entire western culture which relies solely on men to go round is completely misandrist, let’s be real here, the only reason men still continue to keep women alive and safe is out of empathy and keeping our species moving forward. Women who claim they live without needing men are a joke. Literally everything that exists in their lives wouldn’t without a man and believe me they’re aware of this.
