I think you’ve overthought this. She was probably just being nice and would like to get to know your life as a friend since you’ve shared some special moments. Or maybe your relationship didn’t mean as much to her as it was to you so she didn’t think that’d be awkward to know your wife.

If you don‘t have any feelings to her, you could either treat her like a friend (if she and you share similar hobbies) or cut ties from the past to avoid any possible drama from your wife‘s side.

The real test here is whether or not her opinion of you really matters and still has influence over you. The only persons opinion that should matter is your wife’s. Who cares what your ex thinks of you. Respectfully decline, and wish her well. In the end she’ll likely end up respecting you a bit more for making it clear the happiness and well-being of your family is your priority.
