Is there One Source to get all the basics of the game?

Instead of trying to learn all there is to know from a book, instead try approaching on your own. Only when you get stuck should you be looking things up online or reading about it in a book. You'll learn much faster just going out and trying things in real live. Furthermore, when you do read about something and aren't sure if it'll work for you or not, make sure you try it AT LEAST 10 times before giving up on it. Otherwise you risk skipping a great tool that could help you out because you had a bad night or didn't get the nuances down because it was brand new for you.

For well-written basics, try practicalpickup.com. Mark Manson is IMO the best teacher in the industry.

It's been the simplest, most effective method I've ever seen. A friend of mine called it "subtly life-changing," and I agree.

I really got a lot out of the "Blueprint Decoded" video series from Tyler Durden.

But as other have said, get out in field. Supplement your field experience with information here on seddit, etc. The information you learn through the Internet, books, and video, will take on much more meaning if you have field experience.

Meh pretty much any book you read will be the same. Oh they play the "change the word/definition" game, bag out the rest of the community and say they have the "one true way"... but in the end if you have read one ebook you've read em all. Some run linear game, some run conjugated game, some like stories, some don't. Most of the things that seperate the methods have little relevance to people starting out anyway. However, i liked bang by roosh. It's simple, concise, with the idea to get you out and practising as quickly as possible. I also like mysteries book. I just like the way it's presented and explained. But anything will do, and you know full well that you are going to end up downloading everything you can get your hands on anyway. Just keep in mind practice time should always be larger then intellectual masturbation time.

You can't become competent from a book - just like you can read as many books as you like about guitars, you can't learn to play one without picking one up.

Double your Dating is a good place to start imo. It's not full of nerdy acronyms and jargon, and it's pretty decent advice as well.

There is no easy way, no one source. Read DYD, watch David Wygant's "Man Transformation" speech, read all the material you can find. Read FR's and take notes about everything new you learn from the mistakes/successes of others. It will take some time before you can really see the whole picture, and even longer before you can execute. Take it one step at a time and you'll be on your way.

There is no one piece of text that can explain game theory, because there are differing views on what constitutes good game.
