Touch people when you talk to them, men and women. Place your harn on their shoulder or upper arm, for a second, but DON'T look at it. Don't let your touch linger.

When you're on a date, tap her gently when you make a joke, grab her hand to lead her, hold her hand to make a point.

You don't need a reason to touch someone. You should just be a touchy guy. The goal is to get them used to your touch, so that when you escalate kino (from hold hands => increase proximity => arm on hips => arms around waist => kiss) it won't be awkward.

It's only awkward as fuck because you don't do it naturally. But everyone who's good with women isn't afraid to touch them. And that's attractive.

There are three reasons to touch someone in a friendly way:

To emphasize something that you're saying. "and when he came out of the bathroom... <touch> he wasn't wearing any pants."
When you bust on her or joke. The touch helps to emphasize you're joking. "Oh my god, <touch> you're such a brat."
When she says something interesting. Tap her on the arm and say "No way!"

When you do start touching someone, the first way you will touch them is friendly touching. This is the same type of touching that you can do with your guy friends.

You'll touch her on her forearm with the back of your hand. If you're sitting next to her, you can touch her on the leg as well. I also like to give a girl a touch on the leg if I'm standing next to her, shoulder to shoulder.

It's a bit of a pua cliche, but it works to incorporate high-fives and fist bumps into the conversation. You can do this when she does something you approve of.

"You only like top-shelf vodka? Awesome. High five." <high five>

"What's your favorite position?" She answers. "Awesome, high five."

It works because it's breaking the physical barrier. If you haven't touched her all night and you go to make a move, things will be very awkward.

This also gives her permission to touch you back. You can gauge where she is in the interaction. Ideally, if you give her a touch during a conversation, a minute or so later, she'll touch you back (known as a kino ping).

Its only awkward if you let it be awkward. Havent you ever met a girl who is touchy? She touches your arm when you make her laugh, etc... You know how that feels good? You do the same thing to girls, and they will like it.

There are many things that take place in social interaction that when viewed objectively would be seen as 'awkward'. But thats just the game.

If you can't think of a reason to touch them, make up one.

I thought the same thing as you, and I'm by no means an expert, as I've only been consciously kino-ing for about two weeks at my high school. What I've found is that most people don't really even seem to notice when you touch them. I've mainly been going with shoulder-patting and shoulder-tapping, but people seem to fine with it (except a few, who absolutely freaked out).

By the way, there were studies that show that in a gorup of guys, the alpha male is the one that's doing the back slapping. When you see your mates, if you're the one that's clapping them on the shoulder/back when you see them, you're the alpha male. Girls will notice.

Look, I was out this afternoon at an event where I was sarging no one at all. Seriously, everyone female was either married or undesirable or both. shudder But no matter who I was talking to, I touched them. On the shoulder, on the upper arm, on the back, whatever was within reach, every time I made a point. You should do this, too.

Think of it this way. You want to ensure you've got someone's attention when you talk to them, right? Just think of a shoulder touch as checking to see if you have their attention. Like a verbal "Know what I mean?" would do. (Of course, you already know you have their attention.) It almost becomes a nervous tic once you're in the habit of doing it. Almost like you're tapping them on the shoulder to get their attention. No one ever minds it when I do it, and it's never awkward. It's just punctuation to the conversation. So fucking do it.

yeah kino can be challenging if it's something you're not used to. I'm still working on it myself. I'm getting more comfortable touching others and have been getting positive results.

If you're in class joking around with the girl next to you, all you have to do is touch her arm or shoulder (even do some physical push/pull if you want). Or put your hand on her desk/that-stupid-fucking-foldy-thing. You're just trying to establish that you're a more touchy-feely kind of guy, which allows her to become more physically comfortable around you.

Personally, I've never done palm-reading and probably never will. You don't need to use some game as an excuse to touch her, but I know many guys have had a lot of success with it.

If you've ever watched particularly friendly people have a conversation with someone, they're always touching them in one way or another. It doesn't look weird because it's just what they do. You have to learn to get over the weirdness and just keep doing it until it feels natural. Unless you're particularly awkward about it (or, maybe the first few times you try it), you'll find that you hardly ever get a bad response.

i cant see how in class you can do it, but on a date you can do something as simple as rubbing her arm. or kinda interlocking arms while walking, just dont be too grabby before making comfortable.

Also, it's not awkward. Many people touch other people in a non-awkward way even when they have no idea what this "kino" thing is. Touching is just another common form of human communication.
