I've taken Tim's lesson on vocal tonality to heart. I've noticed that I get better responses when I text questions to girls via text without a question mark. While I try to avoid texting, when I do, this subtle difference I believe changes "voice" one reads in:

  • What are you going to be for Halloween?
  • Are you free Thursday evening?
  • What are your plans this Saturday?
  • What are you wearing?

I would read this in an approval seeking AFC voice as opposed to:

  • What are you going to be for Halloween.
  • Are you free Thursday evening
  • What are your plans this Saturday.
  • What are you wearing

I would read these in a flat or downward sloping voice tone.

What are your thoughts on this?
