The grammarian in me finds this unconscionable. Just change the sentence structure:

Tell me what you're dressing up as on Halloween.
I'd like to see you on Thursday.
Tell me what your plans are for Saturday.
Tell me what you're wearing.

Same principle, without resorting to middle school grammar.

Are you free Thursday evening? What are your plans this Saturday?

Woman here. May I suggest that instead of these questions, you just go ahead and ask what you want, like, "Would you like to come with me to a party Saturday?" That way is more direct, which certainly I appreciate. It also leaves less guesswork and then he/she doesn't have to worry about answering with "no plans" and then turning down the invite anyhow, which can be awkward. Plus, the "what are your plans" question can sometimes come off a bit creepy depending on the person and context.

I really don't think it matters at all.

Additionally, I generally don't put a question mark because I'm just lazy. I only use punctuation as necessary in texts.

a question mark feels so needy...you are waiting for an outcome. Usually I leave no punctuation at all...shouldn't be texting much multiple sentence texts anyways.

Seems like the question (mark) implies that you're waiting for an answer. Without it, it reads like you couldn't care less.
