You're overthinking things. Facebook is a social tool, not your social life.
If a girl cares that much about you having Facebook, you're talking to the wrong girl.
Don't make a big deal about it and just say that you like getting to know people in person, over drinks... and segue to a place you like to have drinks. Then invite her out to drinks.

Just say you are too busy for that kind of stuff and just see friends in real life instead.

If anything this is what sets you apart from everyone else and will help you be more intriguing to her. I have a facebook and lied about having one when I approached my last girlfriend. She was fine when she found out eventually (probably should have blocked her to hide it better) but facebook removes the aura of mystery about a person that helps the seduction process.

I just thought it was giving me reasons not to see people in person because I was corresponding so much over FB, it cheapened the relationships, so I shitcanned it. Happier since.

Female here. I don' have a facebook (or any other social networking account.) Just wanted to confirm much of what has been posted already.

I don't know about using it to your advantage but I don't see it working against you. If it does, you are talking to the wrong girl. If a reason seems necessary- you like more intimate interactions, you are too busy and lost interest, you are hiding from the mob ;) etc.

To me, you not having one would give you points because it is something we have in common that sets us apart from most. (No points lost when a guy does have one though.)

That sounds like a great place to start. Seriously, just be honest about it (leave out the "social value and gaming" part). If you're concerned about being weird for not having a facebook, you probably shouldn't have deleted it to begin with.

Just a pointer: you might want to actually delete your Facebook instead of just deactivating it. Facebook keeps all your information unless you confirm your deletion with them, even if it's "deactivated."

As a female, I would like to let you know we'd rather give out our facebook info than phone number. It's a lot easier to regulate communication that way, and if we don't like a guy it's easier to cut them off. I can't make someone lose my number and stop calling, but I can delete and block someone on Facebook. That's why I think Facebook is important, not because I live my life through it.

Like everyone else said, you're making it a bigger deal than it is. Nobody really gives a fuck. I had a facebook for a long time, deleted it, then just recently got back into it because friends wanted me to use it for communication.

Well I don't add people on mine only friends that I actually talk to so less than 100. Girls ask me to add them or send me a request and I let it sit in my requests without an action taken for a very long time. I have been against social media game since its inception (dating websites are excluded), its gives a stalker feeling when something is mentioned from it. It also keeps the girls from not interacting, even in a situation where you are open with your girls knowledge of each other will eventually cause some conflict (same could be said for us I suppose). Because of this it emphasizes actual game where direct contact can be made.

Let me elaborate: I think this question applies most to the period of time between initial contact (getting #'s), and meeting for drinks/coffee etc. The time when she's going to tell her girlfriends about you and they're going to want to stalk you and see if you like fun/cool/normal. Obviously this doesn't apply to ONS' and probably doesn't apply after the first close.

Your odds of success increase if you have a social network she can explore. They want to make sure you aren't a loner/weirdo/serial killer. It could be a good tool for dating success. Social acceptance is a huge factor for women. They want to see that you have friends, that others value you and a person and a friend. It can be particularly useful if you have an active feed with some decent dialogue with friends. Girls lurk hard on FB, your interactions with friends can have a huge impact on her perception of you. For better or worse.

It's a little weird to not have one. Which, in all honesty, makes no sense since it's just a social network, but it's a staple of someone's social life these days. Having one and not using it is a little better than not having one, IMHO. I hardly use mine these days - Twitter is my thing ;)

But in regards to your question: No experience with it but if someone is concerned with your lack of Facebook then she probably has a couple screws loose. :P
