I was thinking today on the train about very direct approach, ie going up to a random chick and telling her what you think especially the semantics of telling her she is beautiful.

First off, I think we have to discuss the topic of beauty itself. Obviously we see beautiful things around us and it gives us pleasure. You see that beautiful babe, semi boner right. However this is a really shallow way of looking at it, as beauty can not only be seen but experienced with all five senses. You've heard a beautiful song, you've smelt a beautiful smell, you've tasted a beautiful meal, you've felt a beautiful thing. All of these feelings invoke a sense of beauty.

OK so lets apply that to our two ways of directly approaching a chick.

I think you're one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen

I think this is what you're AFC guy would say starting out on his direct approach. He sees a girl, goes up to her and tells her that she looks beautiful. Unfortunately for us mirrors have been invented, our girl knows she looks beautiful, she see's herself every day. She probably gets told it by strangers everyday too. It's cemented in her conscious. You're only using one of your senses here and not only that you are comparing her to other girls. When you approach someone directly, all your concentration should be on them, they should be the centre of the effect you want.

Hence you'll get the smile, the thank you, and not much more from there.

You're beautiful.

I like this much better, first off because it's short. You could be drunk as fuck (I hope you're not) and you're not gunna fuck up this canned line.

That's just the start though, "You're beautiful," doesn't have any sense connotations with it. You're not saying she looks beautiful, she just is beautiful, period. This means she can take it however she wants. Maybe she put on her favourite shade of lipstick today, or is wearing her favourite blouse or perfume or whatever. She can take the meaning and make it her own, which means you're not making her do anything against her will.

Furthering this, you can extrapolate abstractly rather than concretely. Say you said the first line, you would then have to comment on some particular part of her body or clothing which she sees and knows. The second line you can go anywhere, tell her she has an aura of warmth around her, that she carries herself like shes confident, hell that she reminds you of a cute bunny rabbit you saw yesterday. The point being it allows you to work on alot of other angles that make her think you have a different and unique perspective.

Like everthing nothing is perfect and you will still get shut down, but I think looking at the semantics of how you say things and shifting your focus will improve both your inner and outter game.

I've field tested a bit and like I said, definitely doesn't work on every girl. However my game is, I dunno, quite a bit self developed I guess. Plus I'm in Australia so cultural differences obviously apply, to get a bit of an idea about me read this post (selfless self advertising here :P)

I'm not talking to literally here, like, not saying say exactly one or the other, more using the terms as an example of how the semantics of how you speak/act affect how you are percieved.

TL;DR - I can't really sum it up, but Beauty uses all senses, the way you express how you perceive it should utilise all of them.
