Lots of flirting should do the trick! If you're watching a film, yeah you can cuddle up, that works great! Get a blanket as well or something, makes it feel more natural. If you're gaming then it's easy enough to turn it into a flirty thing. Be playful, and turn the game into a fun jokey thing. I'm pretty sure you're set anyway mate, where I'm from 'watching a DVD' is pretty much code for sex, she probably digs you already! Just be relaxed, confident and fun, you'll have a great time!

The good news is there are TONS of ways to show interest. You can be super direct but in my experience you don't have to.

One of the easiest ways is to tell her she's special. It doesn't get much clearer and it works for almost every girl. From there elaborate as to why--and if nothing makes her special or all you can come up with is that she's pretty you probably shouldn't be dating her.

I guess what I'm trying to say is trust your instinct. I think deep down you know what it is about this girl that makes you want to date her and not just sleep with her. If there's something to her let her know. It can be just how you like the same video games or movies, or maybe something like the way she smiles. But be honest. You already have the answer you just don't think it will work. But as long as you let her know how special you think she is (and not just her body) you'll be fine.

And remember too there's a good chance she wants the same thing you do. If she doesn't you'll find out quickly enough and no hard feelings lost (girls really have respect for men who try, regardless of outcome).

Also cuddling is great but it alone is not enough. She needs to know that you like her, not that you think she's soft and cuddly. :-)

The fact that she's coming over speaks volumes that she's interested. The last thing you want to do is make it awkward by trying to telegraph your interest. Keep her guessing; it's what keeps her coming back for more. Just act naturally, have fun jibing her without insulting her. If you want to test something, pay attention to her reaction when something forces you close together. Girls make it real obvious. If she's comfortable with physical affection she won't move away when it happens. If about 2/3s to 3/4s into the night you've seen good signs and you randomly end up face to face, plant one on her. You said it yourself that you've been work friends for 2 years.. so the official relationship that she knows and that appears to the entire world is that you are friends.

No need for her to friendzone you, you are already friends.

And if you believe that a one time cuddling would make her understand that you have an ulterior motive besides playing xbox... I think you're opening yourself up for disappointment.

I agree with everything ppl are saying about getting close. Physical contact, no matter how inconsequential it may seem, is the key to opening those doors. Don't be pushy, cuz no girl likes a creeper, just be casual about it. Areas to avoid until she gives you an open indication that it's okay are:

all obvious naughty zones
the legs (with hands, leg on leg is much more innocent)
THE FACE (this is just creepy if you aren't already close...)
her back (below the bra line)

She will likely initiate it when it's okay to start touching these areas and I'd start from the bottom of that list up.

Just be confident. Worst case scenario, she is clueless and didn't realize what she was implying when she suggested alone time together, and you just move on. 90% chance she at least wants to make out.
