Hey Seddit, I'm not quite sure if this is an actual [FR] but it's an interaction I learned a lot from and I'd like to share it with you. I would also appreciate your thoughts.

As requested: I am a lady, and this is a pickup at the gym.

I was at the gym working out. Typically I keep my head down and mind my own business, but I happened to notice in my peripheral vision a guy walking around. I usually don't pay attention to people much, but I could tell he had a strut in his walk as he was going around chatting people up.

My thoughts: Through his posture and body language (ease of walk, chin up, chest out, straight back) he showed that he was self-assured and abundant in value (assume attraction). 80:20 guy/girl ratio at the gym and he approached almost everyone. He was very congruent with his tonality and exuding a dominant yet friendly confidence throughout the conversations he was leading. Everyone responded very well to him.

I went on to another section of the gym. He roamed around, eventually made his way over, held non-submissive eye contact (made sure it was clear our eyes met). Since I took note of his presence from before, I just knew chances were he was going to open me. And surprise surprise, he did.

I don't remember the conversation word for word (What you say does not matter, I swear! It's how you say it), but here's the brilliance of his alphaness. He started off with a firm handshake with strong eye contact and faint but sincere smile. He kept vocal projection soft (enough as a reason to move closer into my personal space I presume) as he led the conversation with questions followed by statements. His level of friendliness was dependent on my responses, but he was congruent in demonstrating entitlement. What I mean is, when I did not reply in agreement, he would tease with a subtle neg with a shit-eating grin and continue to lead. The 'negs' weren't exactly insulting, just neutral content said with a silly sneering tone: "Oh... you don't work out with friends?".

Throughout the entire interation, his movement was slow and controlled (made it clear that he was relaxed). He was also bragging slightly about aspects of his life with a serious tone that almost killed the vibe (like: i am blahblah, and you're not! PSH)... guess he was just trying to DHV

My thoughts: I've never met or conversed with an alpha before and it was exhilarating even though the conversation wasn't about anything spectacular/memorable. (Like I said, what you say does not matter, it's how you say it)

The ease of your movement, vocal tone, and being persistent in opening people, gives off the impression that you are abundant and high value to people... even those who you wouldn't think would notice! And it transfers to the overall energy of other conversations as well.

How? Well, people will notice you and they will feel the friendly vibe and, as a result, be more inclined to be open with you. By the way, if you're thinking: he probably has smoldering good looks! You're wrong. He was just a HG5 who was very approachable and in shape among the quiet observing HG8s at the gym. (actually, i will give this man extra points for confidence and talking to a sweaty un-dolled up lady working out! HG8)

Had he displayed any sign of scarcity (clingy and outcome dependent), I would've be pissed off he interrupted my workout/rest time/focus and ignore him. Gym time is me-time. If you're going to approach, work on mastering inner game or convincingly fake 'I dont give a fuck' attitude. I'd be too awed to shun you. (Confident body language is a super power, use it to your advantage. Take up space while you walk/stand!)

I'm pretty sure the gym helped his confidence and posture (Go workout! Nobody has ever regretted a workout). I learned a lot from him, and I certainly have a better idea of how to be more AFOG. Hope you can take something helpful from this as well!

Oh and I was going to #close him (because the overall interaction made me forget the world existed... this is what you want to aim for; a lady's full attention) but he did it before I got a chance (impressive!). Even though he was only a 5, the way he presented himself got me close to falling in love. Smoothest Don Juan I've met so far. To be honest, I really wish I had opened and #closed him. Then I would have my own actual FR haha.
