I'm a 5'2" male. How important is height? What can I do about it?

I'm slightly taller than you and all the women I've had a serious relationship with have been taller than me. I didn't plan it, it was just that the women I made a connection with just happened to be taller. It wasn't a problem for me and while they admitted at one point or another that they would prefer if I was taller or at least the same height as them, it was never a big deal in the relationship. I guess it's like the size of your gf's boobies. You want them to be as big as possible, but if they aren't and your relationship is amazing, then that doesn't matter.

Look, I have to be honest and tell you that I've asked myself this question many times. But after seriously thinking about it, I submit to you that the answer is totally irrelevant.

People are either going to say that height matters or that height doesn't. Does any answer make a difference? Well, let's see.

If height doesn't matter than that still doesn't make up for all the other skills and personality traits you have to build. If height matters... well guess what? You have to do all that stuff anyways.

Certainly giving up isn't an option, and if it is harder for short people then that only means that we have go grow bigger. We have to develop more confidence, more sense of humor, more entitlement, be funnier, be more real, have more depth, dress better, go to the gym, etc. If it is harder, then that only means that when we get to our goal, we would have learned much more than the tall guy who had it easy.

By the way, there is nothing you need to do differently, no secret kind of game that short people play.

Since your height is outside of your control, then there is absolutely no point in wondering whether or not it makes a difference. Focus on what you can control. If you really want to know, though, I can tell you right now: it does, women find height attractive. But I will also tell you this: short guys can get laid as much as any other kind of guy. Tall girls will fall for the short guy but no girl will fall for the short guy who is intimidated or who is seriously affected for his own height.

I'm a 5'3" asian dude. I have no problem with most of what seddit and the seduction community at large says to do (I'm mostly into RSD, simple pickup, mystery method, and inner game stuff).

I usually build attraction and all that pretty well in person, and have them laughing and wanting to see me again. But despite everything, I have a very very high flake rate in between interactions. Even if the interaction was perfect, she would just not respond to texts very well (I'm doing the texting right) and flake a lot.

I notice that when I dress very very well, this helps a lot, but it only helps with opening and the interaction. The flake rate is still so god damned high.

I'm thinking about getting height extension surgery over the next few years to get to 5'10. I see other dude at the parties who aren't as cool as I am or having as much fun as I am, and they are getting ladies. (I'm not coming off as try hard or anything like that).

Something that struck me hard the other day when I was hiking with a cutie was what she said "When I saw you at the party, you looked so sociable and fun and you were so funny! You remind me of Chao from the hangover". I find this kind of demeaning. But it shows how shortness and being asian gets you classified in other people's minds. When people don't know what I look like or my height when I meet them online, they say I remind them of JD from scrubs (since I'm in healthcare and I like joking around with patients sometimes). I'd say JD is much more sexy than Chao. whatever.

Anyways, life sucks get used to it. But I'm sick and tired of fucking people who don't know what it's like saying shit like "oh, it'll be ok. It's not a problem". Because it fucking is.

There's a lot of guys blowing smoke up your ass, but it is important to a lot of women, and it will make things harder. If you keep your inner game tight and practice, you will get better, and you will see progress, and you will see results. Its gonna be a tough grind though. However, there's nothing you can do about it other than expensive, unreliable, and painful surgery with a 6 month recovery. So?

Your best bet is to just keep it out of mind. Don't think about it, don't make self deprecating jokes avout your height, just....act like it doesn't exist. Go to the gym and bulk up, and concentrate your game on shorter girls. Because really, there isn't anything you can do about it, so devoting any mental effort to it is just a waste of valuable time. Focus on you and how awesome you are, and know that as long as you're an awesome guy, real will recognize real, and people will gravitate towards you. Dont let higher than normal rejection rates trip you up, especially when you're starting. It's to be expected, and as previously mentioned, there isnt shit you can do about it. Just focus on self-improvement and keep on ticking. You will get there eventually.

I'm 5'3'' and sometimes feel a little bit frustrated, because there are so many beautiful women who are too tall for me( cant imagine having sex with them), but there are also plenty of amazing short girls, so I cant start complaining until all the shorter girls are gone. Meanwhile I can't see why I should feel inferior because of my height. In fact, I can think of many cases when my height is in my favour.

I'm 6'4", when I was an AFC I was still 6'4" and a lot of women went for guys shorter that me who were not 6'4".

So here's my take on it: attitude & confidence make up the majority of what you need in life (and with women), then there are some nice extras, but they are still extras. So you are not as tall as some other guys... you can go to the gym and work out and sport a six-packs, and I am sure you have some other "extras" that other people don't have...

If you're familiar with the concept of preselection, height comes in mostly at that stage. It's something immediately visible, and adds to your score if you have it, and possibly takes from your score if you don't.

Thing is, you're stuck at your height.

Good news: a lot of girls are short, and if you're a social, well-liked guy who does interesting things, even taller girls will be totally cool with dating you.

Shortness as an obstacle comes in two flavors: an obstacle to confidence, and an obstacle to a woman considering you a mate.

Now, obviously, if your height is affecting your confidence, it's turning off more than just the women who would blow you off for your height alone. You need to find a way to fix that.

If your height isn't an obstacle to you being cool and confident, and able to walk away without breaking a sweat or feeling shitty from a girl who isn't interested because of your height, then you'll only lose out on the girls who will absolutely not date shorter guys.

The data shows that women prefer taller guys, but I know a lot of confident shorties (under 5'6", mostly dancers) who get a lot of women.

I have women continually being attracted to me on at least some level, but consciously reject me because they think I'm too short (either they declare this verbally or I can just tell by the way they talk/look at me). It doesn't help that I have quite a boyish and cute look (I turn 30 next month but continuously get that I look 22-26). Women see a boy instead of a man, no matter how I behave (I'm quite muscular, confident, cocky).

It really frustrates me that the odds are against me, but the only thing you can do about it is keep improving yourself.

Zappos let you search for shoes with higher soles. (under oxfords), that can easily give you 1 to 1.5 inches.

Women now are wearing heals with even the toe elevated so they are basically wearing platform shoes. You definitely should do what you can to even the playing field.

Women seem to eliminate guys on different dimensions in their "ideal mate". That being said, when a women meets you, she will judge you independently of her ideal mate.

Being 5'2 is going to make things more challenging for you than someone who is 5'5 or 6'0. But there are guys that are seriously 6'4 who never get laid because they can't talk to women, and there are guys who are 5'2 who get very attractive women.

Everyone is insecure about stuff, but if you follow the sidebar, you will be much, much better than guys who don't know what they are doing and who are 10 inches taller than you.

I don't think its an issue a all. I've been attracted to plenty of short guys, probably more short guys then tall guys. I'm short too so it makes it easier for hugs and stuff.

Asian with the same problem here. I'm still not sure how to do things, but I'm managing as well. I'm 160 cm and my ex was closer to 180 cm. People used to stare when we were walking. But now, now I'm more of a not giving a fuck type (I'm not very buff either, but I read a lot so I'm more of the cultured kind of guy -- what helps me out is being a very affectionate kind of type, if that makes any sense. I have hobbies and topics I have a passion for, which I show, and in return captivates girls' interest).

What I wish someone in the community would do is to fire up something in general in the sidebar about size/height as I see this is something that gets posted every now and then -- and rather often (by me included).

It is fairly important regardless of what everyone else in here is saying, most women simply won't date someone shorter then they are. Sure some women do but many don't. And at 5'2 obviously most women are going to be taller then you.

Height is not nearly as important as personality. That said, if you're dead set on changing your height, look into testosterone boosters (injections). Keep in mind this will only help your height if you're not done growing (So, younger than say, 22.) It will also make you harrier, more energetic, more moody (typically angry/pissy), and widen your shoulders, and basically stop hip growth (laterally).

Get yourself a badass pair of boots with a few inches of lift in them. I have a sweet pair of cowboy boots that I enjoy wearing out. They are stylish and different (in Canada), get noticed for being cool, and they give me an extra couple inches of height.
