On 2: think about it this way: If a man is in charge, he doesn;t need to say he is in charge right? I think the same applies when calling girls pretty, or beautiful, they shouldn't be told, but they need to feel that they're pretty

If you think she's cute say so. The same with pretty or beautiful. It's all in the sincerity of your words and feelings.

Either cute or pretty will work, they share almost the same meaning in today's society.

Personally, I feel 'beautiful' comes across too strong unless said in a really nonchalant and confident tone.

Complimenting her looks might make her feel good, but it doesn't necessarily make her feel good about you. And with some girls, complimenting their looks will actually lower your value to them, making them think you must not get out much, or talk to very many girls. With these girls, you get instantly categorized into the "supplicating loser" file.

I've come to the conclusion that there are no advantages to complimenting a girl's looks, and only disadvantages so it's better not to do it. You can tell her you like how she looks, but comparing her looks to the general population with words like "pretty" and "beautiful" adds nothing to your own value and can only lower it.

I wouldn't say either of those things. It just sounds too typical. Guys are constantly calling girls pretty, so you should stand out by calling them something else.

Also, think about this. The girl either 1) thinks she is pretty or 2) thinks shes not pretty.

If she thinks she's pretty, you telling her she's pretty doesn't do shit for her.

If she thinks she's not pretty, she's gonna think you're a full of shit liar that is trying to get something from her.

How about trying to say "you look interesting" or "you look like you're having fun"?

It doesn't matter man. You're thinking too hard about stuff that doesn't matter at all. What you should be concerned about is staying in your set for two minutes, touching the girl, and closing.

Pretty, sexy, babealicious, tasty, beautiful...

It's all irrelevant. She gets it. You want to fuck her. Just be one with that. Don't be second guessing yourself. Just give her your compliment and don't expect anything in return. If she doesn't run away you better get her number or try to kiss her or fuck her or something.

As for just looks, women much prefer to be called beautiful/gorgeous than pretty. It can come across as over the top, but if you say it sincerely with in eye-contact, it'll mean that much more.

Complimenting a woman's looks is a great way to trigger her "Most Perfect Woman Ever" reflex.

Probably a good idea to find a better conversation opener, which depends on the venue, time of day, type of woman you're looking for, and what kind of guy you are.

On a related note, is it better to use a term cute/pretty etc in a different language than English? I was thinking what if I said hey, you look <insert lingo> today? would it work, provided the girl get curious about it.

Like, hey what does <insert lingo> mean? and I would say, oh it's a french word for pretty? or we can add some spice by saying something funny.

I am not sure, any ideas?

If I was gonna be completely direct I would use whatever word I felt best described her. I would say beautiful would be used on only the hottest girls, and cute and pretty are girls to me would be similarly attractive to eachother but in different ways.

What you say isn't as important as how you say it.

Using the words "cute", "pretty", and "beautiful" in a particular conversation or context is a good idea.

Going up to a woman you've never met and saying "Hi, I think you're cute/pretty/beautiful" is a terrible one.

It really isn't a good idea. Nobody really works to be cute/pretty/beautiful, so how are they supposed to react to a compliment? They've done nothing to deserve it.

If you want to compliment someone, pick out something they've done rather than something they are. Ie, I really like your shoes/top/the way you do [x].
