This highlights that ladies may not be as amazing as their initial appearance makes them seem. A lady that looks irresistible could be using make-up well and have more disposable income for clothes and accessories rather than being more naturally attractive.

It's definitely useful to continually remind yourself that you're dealing with how a woman looks in her own mind -- not how she appears to you.

If her self-image is lesser than your image of her, she'll probably sabotage the relationship due to insecurity, especially if you tell her (or otherwise indicate) that she's more beautiful than she believes.
If her self-image is inflated, you have to do the opposite lest you further stoke her already-oversized ego.

When in doubt, assume the latter, as most people think more highly of themselves than they let on (or than reality would corroborate). Many people don't suffer from low "self-esteem", they suffer from an inability to relate to any perspective aside from their own. Self-esteem is just another bubble continually in the state of ballooning up or crashing down.

Women are no exception, and the neurotic insecurities that accompany the need to be eternally youthful, fertile and fit tend to skew her thinking toward the superficial. In any case, throw away the pedestal -- it does neither you nor her any good.
