As I was reading the thread from the new bot and I noticed it mentioned the /r/changemyview subreddit in regards to that delta thing. I had never heard of it before so I checked it out. As I was going through it I noticed a thread called "I'm starting to agree with theredpill's ideology even though I didn't intend to."

As I'm looking through this thread I'm reading some legitimately well-put arguments opposing TRP that I have never heard before. The gist of it is people saying that TRP works if you want to get laid but for the most part it's not a good way to live or hold a relationship. The major theme I'm reading is that our ideology is attracting the "bad" women we're talking about therefore it's an endless circle of bullshit. There's a couple reasons why I didn't agree with even the most upvoted comments but I just can't seem to find the words to give a good response. There are two comments in particular that kind of hit me.

"If you follow the advice of the redpillers, you will find it does work, there's no doubt about it, you will have more success with attracting women, but what you might not realise it that it only works on certain types of women, and those types are the ones who confirm all those awful things which you are coming to believe about women ... any decent self-respecting woman will avoid you, and you likewise will avoid any decent self-respecting woman ... they will be off your radar, almost as if they don't exist ... decent trustworthy respectable intelligent women are as rare as unicorns, according to redpill mythology, and it will certainly seem that way. In other words, you are entering a feedback loop where you attract the kind of women who you cannot respect, and through their behaviour they will confirm that ''women'' do not deserve respect."

and

"Sorry if this comes across as a personal attack. I don't fully mean it to be, but I'm just a little...amazed, I guess is the right word, reading through your comments here on this thread. I mean, do you get that you are coming across as shallow. Like, really shallow. And a hypocrite as well, because you feel like YOU are justified for some reason, whereas "women" aren't. Women are just human beings. No better, no worse, than any man. We may be bad, and good, in different ways than men sometimes. But to just say "women can't help themselves, and I think that's pathetic" is simply solipsistic. The average man can't help himself any more than the average women can. Some human beings have more and less self control, self realization, self actualization, etc. Why do you segregate by sex? It would be just as easy for women to start up their own "RedPill" (and some group of them may have, somewhere) talking about how men just want sex, and submissive behaviors, etc, talking about how easy it would be to manipulate men into being with them by maximizing their adherence to those behaviors. And those women would be just as pathetic, to me, as male RP adherents are. For example, ever heard the old saying, "A man is like a carpet: lay him right the first time, and you can walk all over him for years"? This is exactly the same sort of attitude, in reverse, that Redpill adherents have about women. But, here's the thing: I've seen that saying in action. I've seen that "advice" work..."countless times". What does that say about men? That they're weak and easily manipulated? Why is the woman the "bad guy" in that situation, but people from TRP are somehow enlightened with their "philosophy"? They both have identified a certain weakness sometimes held by members of the opposite sex, and make advice on how to exploit that weakness in order to get something from a member of that sex. The fact is, people are people are people. Some are strong, some are weak. Some are good, some are bad. You choose to focus only on the weaknesses of women, and not their strengths. And then, essentially, accuse ALL women of doing exactly the same thing you personally are doing (in your own way, but overall the same basic mindset), but when they do it it's dishonest and shallow. I think you need a large dose of some serious self-reflection here."

I understand where they are coming from but I'm not sure what to think of their opinion. It's like I have the missing piece in my head but I can't grab it. I can't articulate why I know they're wrong. I have seen some of you giving good arguments outside of TRP supporting the ideology so, I want to know what some of you think of this. What can be said? Are they wrong? Are we wrong? Are we both right?

Edit: Making it less straining to read and spelling.
