I've been desperately trying to get over approach anxiety, along with general social anxiety to boot. I've read No More Mr. Nice Guy, Models, a bunch of other recommendations that people brought up. I've spent hours at a time scouring this sub and trying out different things.

I'm even at the point where I started seeing a counselor at my university every week. It makes me feel like a total fucking loser to admit that, but it's the truth. Unfortunately I don't know how much help she'll be, as when I described my situation about never having been in a relationship/kissed a girl/etc she basically said "Well, I've never dealt with a situation like yours, but maybe I can help." Of course she had the same reaction as most people when I told her that; basically saying how she was so surprised, how "nice" I was and that "I'm sure plenty of people would be happy to date you!".

I've tried cold approaches multiple times with pretty much 0 success. Everything starts off smooth enough, but pretty soon I run out of things to talk about and my brain kicks into "Oh god, what do I say now? She must think I'm weird, abort ABORT." and I pussy out. And I have no idea how to get past that stage of panic.

And I know the typical response is "Be more confident." HOW? I need something concrete, not just "change your mindset" or "Work on yourself first". How do I do that? I don't know what any of that means, it feels like I need solid, step-by-step instruction, not just some mantra.
