Learn how to self amuse and have fun with people. Start small and work your way up. Make the goal to get out of your head so you aren't worried about outcomes. No thinking, just doing.

Anxiety comes from anticipating negative outcomes, or unknown outcomes you think may be negative. Once you throw yourself into the fire enough times you brain realizes it's not anything to worry about and it's not a problem anymore. But, you need positive outcomes.

By positive, I mean you know nothing bad is going to happen. If you freak out every time you approach, this isn't going to help you. Focus on not caring, not thinking, and having fun. Again, start small, work your way up with greater and greater risks.

Just comment about the place or a store or something happening and then introduce yourself. Make some small talk for a couple minutes and then say "well you seem pretty chill, can I grab your number quick?" And then be sure to text her back that same night and make plans to meetup again for a drink/dinner. Don't hold your breathe, a lot of ladies either won't respond or will say they're not interested. Or they might cancel and say they have other plans. They key is to approach approach approach. The more you approach the better your odds. You'll better at it the more you do it.

Just look for opportunities to interact with people. You see a girl looking at a chocolate cake in a cafe say "Doesn't that cake look delicious I'm tempted to buy all 8 of them.

Say something benign and add a sprinkle of ridiculousness.

When you get used to just interjecting with one liners your confidence increases and then when you see a girl a whole convo idea comes in your head. That's how you start.
