Not true. Women can be some of the sickest perverts out there, worse than men even because they have no sexual accountability. Everyone lets it slide because of sexism, men “wanted it” and are “lucky” to be sexually harassed and assaulted. I have seen reports of bouncers claiming that the women are worse to deal with than men. I know first hand how sick women can be, being a victim of SA from multiple women who got away with it.

Your male "friend" is fucking ass backwards. If at least one man would never do something like this, then you can never say it's a "man thing". Men are not "worse" nor are they "horrendous". Men in general are okay people living normal lives and have (relatively) normal thoughts. The men who do stuff like this are affected, in a weird way, by misandry present in our society.

Mental illness is very real, and depending on the mental issue, adding testosterone to it(which increases the desire to take risks) can be a recipe for disaster. Either the man in question hurts himself, or he hurts someone else. There is massive lack of resources for men to seek help. Not only does our society implicitly discourage it(by both men AND women), but it can be straight up antagonistic towards a man who might feel like, even from a young age, that something is "off". We just don't have any sympathy for a man struggling mentally, and it's also the reason why autistic men struggle so much more to be "in" than autistic women(and also cough the women are wonderful effect is a bitch).

Men also have internalized misandry. They inherently hate other men, AND themselves. In a weird and fucking twisted way, men are some of their own biggest antagonizers. They are both unaware of their internalized misandry, and they continue to perpetrate it. It's even more sick when you realize that they hide behind being "heterosexual" to explain away their misandry.

So imagine a little boy with some form of mental illness growing up in a world where it's clear that everyone hates him, and he sees messages on TV commercials and in shows that everyone hates him, and no one will listen when he cries and expresses discomfort, and there are no resources readily available for him to get help.

Eventually, all that depression and anxiety, on top of whatever mental health issues he may already have or are starting to develop, become heightened and they turn into rage, disgust, hate, and agitation. He's hated purely on the basis of his sex, so the way he sees his own sex is perverted, wrong, and bad.

Eventually, that little boy is going to turn into a man that's either numb(and trying to play it off as being masculine) or he's going to become the next school shooter, the next rapist, the next killer.

And you know what the world's response is going to be?

"See? I told you men are terrible people."

If you're goal Is to change their minds, then there is no point in responding to them. They have already decided that they hate men, and there is nothing you can say and no evidence that you can provide to change their minds. They hate men, and are only interested in rationalizing their hatred. That is why they only look for confirming evidence ,and interpret everything else in a way that aligns with their beliefs.

Even if you give them examples of men being heroic or altrustic,they will try their best to downplay it,and will assume those men still somehow have bad intentions. That is why arguing with these people with the goal of changing their minds is pointless. The guy who did it was not just male but also black. If white nationalists were using this one sicko's behavior to promote bigotry against all black people, common sense would prevail, with the overall discourse being "Yes, this guy is fucked up in the head and needs to face consequences, but saying he reflects black people as a whole is beyond the pale."

Guys, this is not the hill to die on. What that guy did was disgusting and violating. He pulled his dick out, jerked off, and nutted on a complete stranger in broad daylight.. This woman was in tears and probably will be afraid to go out in public for fear some random man will do this.

It has taken years of self-talk adjustments to make this change for me, but I'm proud to say that my 1st thought is NOT "God, what a scumbag" but rather, I am thinking that I don't believe this happened. I haven't heard anything about this before this post, but hearing, "a MAN did something gross and crazy," no longer gets an assumption of guilt from me. I guess I just don't readily believe that a guy wanted to jack it in public and shoot his load on some random woman. If he knew her and hated her, if this was personal somehow, then I can see a twisted guy doing that as a way of making her feel gross (im not saying that would be OK, but i could understand it).
