So my daughter just turned 18 and spends 50% of time with me.

I have her passport and all her birth certificate items since my ex wife moved out.

Today my daughter said her mom needs the passport to open up a bank account for her.

The issue is my daughter already has a bank account in her name that I opened and her mom is well aware.

I have the feeling that if I provide her with the passport I will never get it back.

I am thinking of 3 alternatives to handier this

1- meet them at the said bank and provide the passport in person and get it back (not prefferred)

2- Go to the said bank and explain the situation and ask them to take the needed copy and then she can show up at a later date with my daughter and get the account setup.

3- Simply tell her no , she already has her own back account and she doesn't need a second one.

My ex wife is straight face lair and i dont believe a word that comes out of her month:
