You don’t have to be good-looking to date outside of your race, but you do need something that sets you apart. I relied on game, personality, charm, and confidence (me being a 5’5 below average looking) while others might have height, money, or some other edge.

As an Asian man, you’re going to have to outthink, outgame, and just be better than your competition. Good looks are just one variable in the equation to success. You could have them and still be a dating failure. The same goes for money—I’ve had plenty of millionaire clients who struggled to attract women despite their wealth. Good looks and money alone aren’t enough.

But let’s be brutally honest—height is probably the most important factor in attraction. Even a tall Asian guy with zero personality will attract non-Asian women simply because of his height. It doesn’t mean he can keep her, but he’ll get their attention. So, if you’re not tall, you’ll need to compensate in other areas like game, confidence, or status. Not sure about other countries but where I live (eastern europe) k-pop is getting more and more popular and mainly younger girls crave asian dudes or someone with asian features. Don’t over think it bro. You’re not trapped in anything. Of course there are beautiful Asian men that crush it with women. Just know that you’re one of them, and you’re a catch, so act like it and don’t grovel for women that would be lucky to have you.

I’m not gonna say things like racism and heightism aren’t real and have an impact on dating life, but if you internalize that, it will affect your behavior and confidence negatively. You’ll miss opportunities that are right in front of you. You’ll also blame those things when they had nothing to do with it, maybe she had a boyfriend or just had a shitty day, maybe you said something that she misconstrued. There’s a million reasons why a girl could reject you.

Although, I’ll acknowledge the statistics aren’t in favor of Asian men on dating apps, online dating is brutal for the majority of men. I would recommend putting more effort into real life dating.

I am an attractive and outstanding Asian guy and I never had issues with attracting girls from other races. I can see your struggles though. I can date attractive asian girls without any issues, but dating attractive white girls is harder.

However, since Kpop and Anime became so popular, there are so many attractive white girls, that have yellow fever. That's a whole untouched market and the good thing is that your competetion is quite low here. Most Asian guys r are just not good at the dating game and lack the basics.

53 year old Asian here. 5’11”, and luckily still look like I’m in my 30’s. One of the benefits of being Asian is our youthful appearance when we get older.

Surprisingly to me, beautiful women of all ethnicities in their 20’s are still attracted to me. But, I’m still attractive and I’ve aged extremely well.

Attractiveness and not sure what outstanding means are not important to either white, red, yellow, black or any other color women. But the focus on white girls only is not healthy imo, perhaps your friend should reconsider where that comes from and why. I am what you call "brown", I am not a native speaker and I dated a ton from all races. There's beautiful women of every race. Keep in mind that if someone is somewhat prejudiced personally or culturally, then there's nothing you can do to change that... you can be successful, jacked or whatever other advice you're getting here, it won't make a difference.
