I find that almost no-one is actually introverted. Most people are extroverts with social anxiety that causes them to act and behave as an introvert. So if you get rid of your social anxiety you'll probably realize you're an extrovert like most people.

I reduced my social anxiety by a lot. But it pops back up sometimes in new situations. The key is just to go outside your comfort zone and do a lot of things you find socially uncomfortable. Push yourself. I did things like improv theatre, joining a play, and cold approach

Introversion is a major personality trait, and can not be changed.

What you can change is how you manage it. Most people misunderstand being scared of talking to other people as introversion, but it is not. At best, this is shyness, which is another personality trait, but one that usually changes over time. Usually however, it is just that - you not knowing how to talk to others.

What defines an introvert is that they recharge alone or with few close friends. This just means that as an introvert it is harder to practice because you have to manage your energy better.

A friend of mine is literally as introverted as can be measured by the big5, he is in the lowest percentile. He is leading a pen and paper group, has game nights and anime night scheduled, is taking a dance class and throws huge birthday parties. He just also rechanrges inbetween and plans everything well in advance.

Mine comes and goes. You need to look at a situation you’re in, listen to what your mind is telling you not to do, and literally do the opposite.

I’m recently single and have been out of it for a long time. I told my self I should go out to a different town and grab a hotel, bring my mountain bike and get on tinder.

Kept telling myself to not do it.

I said fuck it and went by myself, went mountain biking. While I was chilling on the mountain side I swiped like 100 girls. Messaged one for a drink that night, super nervous. She agreed. We had a decent date. Then I said I was gunna grab another drink someone and go back to hotel.. she tagged along. We screwed for hours..

Had I not done any of that, I would have been sitting at home.

Go and do it. Make things a reality. If you fail, it’s fine.

I literally have no game. I asked basic questions about her life and tried to joke a bit.

I pretty much only socialized in sports and was super introverted.

Ended up becoming a stripper and now my career job is basically being a professional extrovert

Not me, I've just become more and more introverted as I've got older. I presume, as I'm not talking from experience, that an introverted guy is probably better off going for introverted girls, and vice-versa. I hear a lot of stuff about 'social status' and to be out and about with lots of friends can only realistically be achievable by extroverts, thus increasing the chances of attracting women - more than likely extroverted women. So it would appear that there would be a vast difference in approach to the pursuit of meeting the opposite sex between the introvert and extrovert.

I’m very introverted, but i can make myself be social for a short period of around 3 hours a day after that I’m exhausted. and i use that widow of opportunity when i have a date. I try to not indulge in a conversation with someone prior to a date

I used to be kinda shy up till 4th grade when I started watching two and a half men and was like huh that Charlie Harper guy seems to be doing something right so then started studying that character and then did some research on other people of that caliber like hue Hefner and then I started to just talk to random gals because what's the worst thing that'll happen believe me although extroverted and Humpty Dumpty behavior looks fun on paper but it's incredibly lonely like there's a level of loneliness of waking up to a different person every morning and not having that loving feeling that people get

Perfect timing.

Grew up isolated for two years in my room with an abusive mom.

Went to foster home only race of my kind and big language barrier.

Left hometown solo to new city and got robbed for everything I owned. Had to start completely over.

Tonight I'm back out from a night with a group of friends I met and a bad bitch who keeps rubbing my chest. This is my 8th night out tonight.

I get extremely lonely. Put my phone on pause for so long but I feel so free. My body shivers. I've never had this much freedom.

If I want social interaction, I'm forced to go outside.

You deserve to feel the same.

a friend of mine is actually quite introvert due to social anxiety. He is currently getting therapy for that. I am also planning to take him out for a night game soon. See if we can get him more comfortable around people. Eg i cold approach a couple and let him join in. Should give him some confidence that strangers are just people/friends you havent met yet.

Are you actually introverted or is it social anxiety?

If it is social anxiety, you need to take babysteps.

As far as introversion vs extroversion goes:

An introvert will be overwhelmed more quickly as you have more energy to start with in the day and you need to recharge by being alone. This means, spend your energy wisely. Doing mass approaches will not help. However.... you do not need interactions to build up this energy.

Where as an extrovert starts with less energy so needs to build up. They are charged up in social situations.

So at the start of an evening an introvert will probably be at an advantage. As they will not need to build state the same way from social interactions. You know when you use up all your energy as an introvert and are drained, yeah as an Extrovert, that is how I feel without social interactions. That is me in the morning.

Also, have a definite time to call it a night so you can get home and recharge. You need it unlike us extroverts.

Being an introvert doesn't mean that you are shy , it just means that you feel better when you are alone and in this case you will prefer to read a book at home or watch TV instead of going out among people. Being introverted does not mean that you don't want to socialize with other people or meet new people, you do, but you don't need a large number of friends, you are happy with 2-3 friends.

Being introverted is not a bad thing, you are not sick or a weirdo. Also a person is not always introverted, it is a mix, there are occasions when an introvert will act like an extrovert because they have to do so, it depends on the situations they are in. Of course they don't like it doing so but they need to do, they will go to a party but they won't like it and maybe they will be the first who will leave the party, they will talk with a group of people but will quickly run out of things to say because they are doing something they don't like.

In seduction it does not mean that only extroverts will be successful with women and an introvert will be single forever, this is the conclusion that most people have, because they do not properly understand the concepts of being introverted or extroverted.

Yeah me, its a really short story: I was introverted. Then I put on some muscle and went to a fighting gym. Now I am a stud. End of story 😂

I tried therapy for a few years, really helped forming a close connection with someone I could say anything to.

I actually discovered my introversion was to do with not having much connection with my vagus nerve so I focused a lot on ways to stimulate that- physical exercise, throat exercises, sexual stuff helps too. It’s taken many, many years, but it’s getting results now. I know it sounds random and like some weird internet cure but it’s genuinely true, the nerve is involved in autism so it’s likely part of social communication system.

It’s also just easier to be an extrovert with other introverts or ND people, so that’s the easiest way of being yourself more I’ve found.
