How did society turn from "women are subhuman" to "all men are evil and will rape you are every chance"?

Lmao! 😂 The top post right now is a woman talking about how she chose not to run the secret Santa this year, and as a result... it's not happening....

And then a bunch of comments talking about how impressed they are with her.

[–]Entheuthanasia 24 points25 points26 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So brave 🥺

Lesson learnt: don’t volunteer to do stupid shit at work. Whether or not you have a vagina.

[–]Input_output_error 35 points36 points37 points 1 year ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I bet her work space is like 'Yay, Karen forgot to force her Santa crap on us this year'.

[–]NonbinaryYolo 20 points21 points22 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Please, us men don't have the level of social skills needed for such a complex conversation. This would have been communicated through grunting and pointing at pictographs.

How misandrists see men talking to each other

<image>

[–]galacticdude7 13 points14 points15 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

yeah I came across that one browsing /r/all earlier and I couldn't help but think to myself "Of course the men didn't volunteer to run the office Secret Santa, most men don't care about such things, they'd much rather get their work done and go home" Like, you're really not punishing them by not volunteering for it.

Besides, white elephant/yankee swap gift exchanges are better for office Holiday parties. They are a lot less work to set up, people can buy a generic gift instead of something for someone specific, and its always fun to see what items get stolen or traded a lot.

[–]Optimal_Offer_5663 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fr.

The manager was okay with just not doing the secret santa because he and the rest just didn't really care, when it seemed only one or two women seemed to heavily invested in it.

The women quit doing it, and so, the workplace was just like "oh, okay. no need to have an event that no one is invested in."

like sure, some men might've wanted to participate, but it's like "meh. i dont really care that much to begin with."

[–]lumpynose 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This year, we decided not to "volunteer" to do it. We are too burnt out and underpaid to be doing any favors, especially not based on gender roles.

Translation: "we're doing our part for 4b!"

[–]anonybro101 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

LMAO I saw that. I can’t believe she’d make a post about that. That entire subreddit is a circle jerk. I bet a million dollars not a single dude even cared about having a secret Santa. In fact, I bet if you remind them of it, they’ll be relived lol.

[–]wildgoose2000 46 points47 points48 points 1 year ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I try and read opposing viewpoints but that r/ is bad for my mental health. It was too much.

[–]Optimal_Offer_5663 9 points10 points11 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I got really paranoid of men (because of the whole 'most men are r*pist and the good men are rare" rheotric) when I used to read the comments there, which didn't help, since I have some gyno-phobia already, so I was just terrified of everyone. Women are scary, men are dangerous vibes.

But fortunately, I stopped frequenting there and took a break from Reddit. But, yeah, defintely bad for mental health.

[–]Absentrando 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, it’s crazy how bad it is

[–]ConsiderationSea1347 20 points21 points22 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

One of their top rated posts right now is a tirade that says since a teenage boy ate lasagna humanitarian aid shouldn’t be given to men. This the result of no one telling these people they are wrong.

[–]ChimpPimp20 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You’d be surprised that this happens on a large scale with men.

As cynical as this may sound, if you have balls then don’t expect to get help after a big disaster.

[–]Initial_Zebra100 37 points38 points39 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I really tried to look at some of their posts. It's a hateful circle stroke against men. They rant and mostly agree. You get outliers that actually stand up, but they're often downvoted to oblivion.

One was about men approaching women. Most never wanted them to approach(?)

Sane woman defends men and says some are nervous -

'Good, they should be nervous! I'm so done with men. They only want sex and oppression.' Add dozens of replies in agreement.

And anyone who disagrees has internalised misogyny or is a pick me.

Don't look at that sub, seriously. It's actually really depressing. They can't see what they're doing.

[–]VastlyVainVanity 10 points11 points12 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, you should've see the posts when Roe v. Wade was overturned. There was one with tons of upvotes of a woman saying that she'd go around her city forcefully castrating men. It just stayed up.

As long as you're part of the Anointed Ones here on Reddit, you can say whatever the fuck you want.

[–]meeralakshmi 10 points11 points12 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That’s something everyone on Reddit knows lol. I have no idea why it’s a default sub but I unsubbed pretty quickly. Probably the worst thing I’ve seen in there: https://www.reddit.com/r/everydaymisandry/comments/1ec7yvm/twox_being_twox/

[–]Initial_Zebra100 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've seen that a lot as well. Basically;

Look, it's just simply *awful when it happens to a male*

But look at what happens to women! These guys should be supportive of others now they know.

Any conversation or response starting with 'R is bad, but..' is derailment. Ironically, the thing those subs ban rather often.

[–]Former_Range_1730 8 points9 points10 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course it is. And Reddit allows it! Which should tell you a lot about this place. It's anti Straight men to the highest degree.

[–]TrustOk7600 13 points14 points15 points 1 year ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Can we report the group please

[–]ConsiderationSea1347 15 points16 points17 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Reddit will never give up twox, their investors depend on Reddit keeping its misandrist, femcel bias.

[–]TrustOk7600 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Basically their own downfall

[–]ravenmonk 12 points13 points14 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's super gross

[–]Ballorbyshipper 29 points30 points31 points 1 year ago (8 children) | Copy Link

When you hit the feminists with the not all men card 💀💀💀💀 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

[–]NonbinaryYolo 21 points22 points23 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

OH MY GOSH DID YOU JUST SAY NOT ALL MEN?! Do you lyke... h8 womyn?!

[–]trainedfor100years 37 points38 points39 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Women are not a monolith" = Fighting against misogyny

"Not all men" = "Oh mah gerd you heckin bigoted misogynistic sexist privileged male chauvinist incel chud!"

[–]yoloswag420noscope69 11 points12 points13 points 1 year ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Their new mental gymnastics is to reply with "if you don't do these things then you shouldn't be offended" not realizing that they could apply that logic when people are talking about women.

[–]NonbinaryYolo 8 points9 points10 points 1 year ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The mental gymnastics are crazy.

I had a feminist confront me today because I said sociology as a field is 75%+ dominated by women, and you can see the biases in how's men's issues are ignored.

In their first comment they told me feminists try to deal with men's issues, but Republicans prevent them. By their third comment they were giving me shit for being entitled, that I shouldn't expect women to give equal consideration to men's issues, and that men should deal with them, themselves.

[–]ChimpPimp20 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I swear to Christ all they do is blame the right for everything.

“It’s not me. It’s the conservatives.”

It’s bofa y’all.

[–]Atlasatlastatleast 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As of 2015, apparently 85% of sex and gender sociologists were women. That actually went down from 88% in 2001.

The most male dominated subfield was mathematical sociology at 78% (what is that?)

88% is insane

[–]UndefinedFemur 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have genuinely never understood why they lose their minds over the phrase “not all men.” Like, wtf? It’s true. What is wrong with saying that? Especially since the only time someone would ever even feel motivated to say it is if someone is generalizing men. It doesn’t come out of nowhere; it’s a direct response to a hasty generalization fallacy that discriminates against billions of people.

[–]Lime130[S] 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly that's a bad representation of a good arguement

[–]lumpynose 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I confess, it's one of my favorite subs. I have it in a multireddit containing /r/Feminism, /r/TheGirlSurvivalGuide, /r/TwoXChromosomes, /r/women, and /r/womenintech. I made my own sub, bizarretwoxposts, where I crosspost the more crazy posts (it's private so don't bother to search for it). Even though I recognize the blatant misandry it rolls off my back like the proverbial water off a duck's back. If I were to summarize it I'd say that 1, they rarely if ever take responsibility for their actions, 2, it's difficult if not impossible for them to make simple and trivial decisions without beforehand asking others, and 3, paired with the first item, everything that's wrong in their lives is due to the patriarchy (aka, men).

[–]lumpynose 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, I want to keep it private.

[–]HumansDisgustMe123 23 points24 points25 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ah yes, the sub full of TERFs who claim not to be TERFs, even though their literal sub name is a blindingly obvious reference to their belief that biological sex and gender identity are the same thing.

I mean you almost have to admire their delusions. The sub is full of white middle-class cisgender hetero women, literally the most protected demographic on Earth, who think they're the victims despite the fact that they spend most of their time generalising and outright harassing gay men, black men, trans women, and any other minority they can point a finger at and say "I don't feel safe around them". They remind me a lot of the American conservative types who go on r/Rants and bitch endlessly about being silenced, even though they're the loudest motherfuckers on the planet and it's the conservative-leaning subs on a constant banning-parade for anything that goes against their doctrine.

[–]Fit-Match4576 16 points17 points18 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think the banning is mainly from conservative subs. I was automatically banned from like 6 subs once I joined this sub lol. I have commented on others and then instantly banned because of this sub saying I'm part of a "hate group." Everything else you said is spot on.

White women are the most protected class on Earth, but they act like it's 1945 still. They literally were the largest group that benefited from Affirmative Action overall, but especially from Colleges. Our own government has those numbers but act like no progress has been made. In fact, when Title IX was implemented 12% was the difference between men in college to women. It's is now 16/17% wome. Then ratio. They refused to correct it and ignored it once it was equal because it's "women's turn."

[–]Suspicious-Break1247 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No thanks,id rather not

[–]Lime130[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I was alredy there,i do not wish to return
