i can't remember a single situation favourable to me, where I got ahead just because I am a man.

mind you, i am a rather good looking man. every time anybody genuinely wonders how I feel, is a very special time for me. It happens once a year at best.

women can do many things men can. if a woman provides, she is praised. if a man provides, it's your "basic function".

male rape victims don't matter to society at all. male mental health too (expendable tools aren't expected to have emotions)

there are no laws specifically protecting men, or their bodily autonomy. there are such for women.

I've asked someone this question before. She gave me your basic cookie cutter response. I then asked " what laws do women have to follow that men do not? No response. A few days later I was banned from that sub because apparently my questions violated that subs community guidelines on hate and violence. The mods even muted me so I couldn't send them (the mods) any questions or comments. If there is anything I've learned since joining Reddit it's this...........mature adults are in very short supply.

I was scrolling Reddit a few weeks ago and some piece of shit posted this dumb shit about how a "real man" will turn the other cheek and forgive her. How he (the real man) would essentially let her do anything, treat her like a princess, bend over backwards for her, give her anything she wants, etc. I told her that a real man will stand his ground and not keep putting up with unnecessary horse shit. That what she's describing is a chump that she'll eventually lose respect for him and hurt him in the process of leaving him. She said " the 1950's called, they want their misogyny back". I asked "exactly how is what I said a dislike or hatred of women and girls? Got no response. A few days later I was banned for the same thing. I'll say it again..... If there is anything I've learned since joining Reddit it's this...........mature adults are in very short supply.

Men have the privilege of being drafted to war and dying in combat for their country. They also have the privilege to decide to not be a father, absolve all their parental responsibilities and abort. Men can also get girlfriends who will pay for them and all this stuff just for existing. A privilege is a benefit granted to sure people, but denied to others. Physical differences between men and women as well as different choices are not matters of privilege.

Some laws that legally privilege women: Affirmative action for women, women Owned business advantages, women only healthcare advantages, selective service exemption.

There are only 2 benefits I can see that men get;

1 - No monthly periods. Some women I’ve dated say they don’t even feel it. Some I’ve dated, are literally crippled in pain sometimes.

2 - Men don’t have to be hyper vigilant about their surroundings in fear of being raped when they’re “out and about” at clubs or whatever.

That said, that’s really about it. Men are considered disposable in society. No one gives a shit about men being killed, never mind that the vast majority of homicides happen to men. And whenever a woman kills a man, the first thing women will say is “he probably deserved it.”

There is a huge laundry list of societal privileges women get that men do not.

And I might even be forgetting something men get as well, but I doubt it.

You could make the argument, that not being able to have children is a privilege. HOWEVER, the ability to have children, is a big reason why women get so many privileges to begin with and many women who have had kids, say it’s an amazing experience. So, I don’t buy it.

Most medical knowledge is based on mens anatomy. While this might have been a privilege for women once - less chance being experimented upon. Now it means that healthcare is better at healing and diagnosing male bodies.

Also men don't have to buy products like menstrual pads, just to be able to exit your home 1x a month. Bleeding is not fun and often embarrassing.

Also i believe men have less feelings of unsafety. Women have been conditioned by nature and circumstances to be very cautious and anxious.

Women can be in childcare professions without suspicions of their conduct and virtue. Men can be better at and be hired more easily in professions requiring physical strength like carpentry and construction. I also believe carpentry and construction pays better than childcare.

There are many, many examples of both. Most of them are not due to legislation, but caused by culture and nature. Not having privilege in some area only hurts if a specific person wants to have that. If a man does not go to the doctor with his concerns, it gives him nothing that he would be taken more seriously because he is a man. Or if a woman does not care for working with children she will not see that as a privilege. So we do not recognize things we do not want or care for as a privilege even if it is there. It might be seen as a privilege that a wife can wear lipstick without societal judgement and her husband cannot. But the husband will not see it as women's privilege , if he does not want to wear lipstick. Basically, whatever we want, but the other gender can have more easily, that we call a privilege. So what is seen as privilege will be different from person to person.

In the USA, they would argue that men have bodily autonomy, while women's are very much under threat with abortion laws. This is accurate. However, men are forced to pay for children at the mother's behest, even if they never wanted a child to begin with. So now no one can walk away from the responsibility of children? The mother forced to have children, the father forced to financially indentured service. I'd argue that is equality. Ideally, both men and women should have an eqaul say if they want to walk away from the responsibility of children.

I often hear that men get to go out at any hour of the day and rarely do they ever feel they'll be raped, whereas women try to avoid going out at night, and when alone passing another men, they get tensed/afraid.

Which doesn't surprise me. There are some creeps out there.
