Why are you okay with double standards? ie, It's okay to want a man taller than you but it's fatphobic to want a skinny woman? Or, it's okay to expect men to be providers but unacceptable to expect women to uphold traditional gender roles? Or, it's acceptable to women a way out of parental responsibility but allowing a men a way out of parental responsibility is unacceptable?

Just some examples, there are quite a few more that women are more likely to be okay with.

I'd also like to point out that some of the most influential men's rights activists are female. For example, Erin Pizzey, Karen Straughn, Cassie Jaye, Bettina Arndt, etc.

That is one of the most artfully vague statements that sounds vaguely positive but says nothing of substance I have heard in a while, and just yesterday I spotted a bot in the wilds calling describing a news article as "written by a professional who does this for a living".

So I have to ask, can, you provide us with specifics on what you dis/agree with rather than leaving us guessing? That would be a good start. Thank you!

Actually there are many. But for starters here is the most pressing one-

Why is it that men's sufferings are downplayed and often ridiculed by most women ?
Why is it that women are almost detached with the male sex (for e.g. narratives like "we don't need men to become mothers", an inherent hostility towards the husband and his side of the family, etc)?

(Outliers and exceptions exist)

I hope that the framing of hese questions do not offend you. I am 25, straight and have been single. So off late I have found myself quite angry towards certain behavioral patterns of women around me and I have started developing a bit of skepticism towards this notion that "can women be satisfied with anything?"

But all said I believe that without women this planet would have been a shithole without the feminine strength. Lots of Love and good wishes.

Sorry for the long text but it is necessary context to my question.

Question: Were you as a child ever told to never hit a boy? And do you know if your female friends were ever told to not hit a boy?

I ask this for two reasons. Yesterday or the day before I read an article posted here on one of the subreddits for male issues. The following is an excerpt from that article:

“For parents, raising a girl can seem as if it’s about showing them all the things they can do, while raising a boy is telling them what not to do, researchers say.”

“If I’m raising a daughter, I’m raising someone who can challenge conventions, and that’s an attraction. On the other hand, if I’m raising a boy, am I raising someone who’s going to get in trouble, who won’t do well in school and so on?”

Reading that stung a bit.

And the second reason is the following; we’ve all been told that men make up the vast majority of (physical) abusers in domestic violence within heterosexual relationships. And it is true that when men physically abuse women in heterosexual relationships, those women sustain serious injuries far more often than when women physically abuse men. Which seem to have led us to believe that physical abuse within heterosexual relationships in nearly all cases is inflicted by men.

(And when women physically abuse men I often see comments still blaming the men.)

There’s a study called: Differences in Frequency of Violence and Reported Injury Between Relationships With Reciprocal and Nonreciprocal Intimate Partner Violence

It’s a large scale study on domestic abuse within heterosexual relationships. 18000+ couples. Within the first minute reading I came across the following: “In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases.”

And further in the article it says that: “reciprocal intimate partner violence was associated with greater injury than was nonreciprocal intimate partner violence regardless of the gender of the perpetrator”.

It also said that: Almost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent.

Why is it that 70% of non-reciprocal IPV is committed by women in heterosexual relationships? Were/ are girls never told to not hit boys when they were growing up?

And the following is just anecdotal but it seems that women slapping their boyfriend/ husband (for saying or doing something that she didn’t like for instance) is normalized in our society. We, as viewers, don’t even see it happening. And if we do, it’s “normal”. No one bats an eye. Or it is entertaining.
