Reddit has been a major help for me. Many of us share the same story and experience so there's a ton of guidance as well as just people to listen to you. Definitely get therapy for yourself. Sorry you're going through this but "I'm unhappy" is a death sentence to any relationship. No matter what you do it won't be good enough. She needs to find happiness with herself and she's going to cast her family aside to find it

I go to Divorce Care and I'm not religious. You can just tune out the religious stuff if it's not for you, and the rest of it is just other people going through divorce, sharing their stories and supporting one another. I would recommend it.

Get a therapist. It will help a lot.

Join Meet Up and see if there are any divorce groups in your area.

Talk to a lawyer ASAP. Know what you are and aren't entitled to. Your wife has probably been thinking about this for a long while and is WAY ahead of you in the process. You need to catch up. I don't mean, be a jerk, but I do mean, you have to look out for yourself now. She isn't looking out for you. You need to take care of yourself so you can be there for your kids. Make sure everything is equitable for you and your wife, not one sided against you because you want to be the good guy and take care of her.

Try some classes and try something new. You might meet other people who are interested in the same things you are.

It's brutal, but you'll get through it.

Kudos to you for looking for support. Many men don't, but we deserve support too.

If you’re religious, there’s a group out there called Divorce Care. It helped me when I went through my divorce 7 years ago. But I was bit turned off by the religious heavy content. It’s a multi week program, like 15 weeks. Lots of good material if you can get past the religious component. Search to see if there are any groups in your area.

Get individual counselling. Most are online these days. These do cost $$.

Join a local or online divorce recovery group. These are free. Steer clear of the male only groups.

Join your local gym. You need to build a support network and the other guys at your gym will be instant family.
