I just think there are some men here who have had enough with disagreeable women and might be slightly tilted. That's all. Women are 50% of our species, and unlike the women subreddit, I think this space is a bit more agreeable

I wouldn't call this a Men's Only subreddit but it's definitely a subreddit that will not take kindly to any woman who might not be here for a good faith argument. I don't mind listening to what women have to say personally but there are a lot of women who rather seem to want to invalidate Men's Issues. What I mean by this is that if the men talk about their problems, there are some women who just seem to want to let you know how women always have it worse in the most condescending way possible.

For whatever reason, a lot of women, not all of them of course but still enough of them, don't really think that men have any problems at all or that their problems are caused by themselves. I don't know why they think that but they do. I'm not a scientist so I can't say why that is.

That might explain the hostility. I recall being over at Male Mental Health before they turned into a weird pseudo Feminist place, and there were occasions where women came in ready to invalidate the problems that men were talking about. There was a guy talking about how his autism makes socially awkward and he hated it and how women just looked at him like a creep. One of the replies was this women rambling on about how she had it way worse with her abusive boyfriend and other issues that attempted to make the autistic man's issue look like nothing. Needless to say her comments were not well received and it even created issues for women who trying to be helpful but now the men were being even more hostile towards women.

Anyways, I think that's what you're probably going to face here.

Since you're on a journey down a rabbit hole of injustice, have a quick look around the internet to see if you can find any public space that is men-only or male-only, aside from public restrooms.

I'll wait.

Women have noticed when men have their own spaces (exclusive clubs, for example) and systematically campaigned to have them either shut down, or forced to let women join. Whatever country you are from, look at how many women-only domestic violence shelters there are (2000+ in the US), and how many men-only domestic violence shelters (0 in the US, and women have successfully campaigned to have men's shelters closed). Look at men's clubs (0 - the Supreme court ruled they have to admit women) and women's clubs (many). Or men-only gyms (0) and women-only gyms (lots).

Men's sheds (originally founded in Australia for men to have a place to go to meet other men) was forced (by women) to admit women. The men were gracious about it, but have since had to make a separate room just for men because the women were clearly invalidating the root purpose for a men's shed.

Men actually need spaces where they can take a break from women without being called names, just like women need spaces away from men. Women, it seems are the only ones who have a problem with this.

Don't suppose for a moment that this is a new phenomenon - women in London, UK in 1674 protested "coffeehouses" because the men spent too much time there. The 1600s. You can't make this stuff up.

Since your'e a girl of sixteen Open-Pea-2960, with (presumably) little experience of life than much older men have here, it would behoove you to take that into consideration, when commenting or coming across content here.

Clearly it's not a 'men's only sub', but some men have differing perspectives on whether not having females here would 'slow down the progression of men's rights', to use your phrase.

Also, time will tell how well you react to being disagreed with on any given issue.

No, it's not a men-only sub.

There are, however, many men who are rather guarded (understandably so) when a woman posts and/or comments on a post. Because, to be honest, some women just don't operate in good faith (the same goes for some men as well).

If you are able to navigate the minefield without getting hurt, then you are more than welcome here. As others have said, many prominent MRAs are women and many other women comment here regularly without issues.

Be thankful! Any male-gender-having person who says ONE WORD over at \r\feminism or \r\TwoX or similar is instabanned. I've had female mods stalk me at subreddits they don't like then go back home and ban me at a sub I've never visited. If you post or comment there years later (not all are feminism subreddits, some are mid with female mods), completely forgetting about that piss ant "ban" from a subreddit you never heard of way back then and completely forgot about, reddit has given mods tools to track people by their IP addresses so will suspend all your accounts, even if you have no fucking clue what they're talking about.

In short, feminists are cancer like 1950s Jim Crow racists, but just can't hold up a mirror and see it

This sub allows women - mens lib I think allows women to read only (no posting).

There's a bit of hostility on here (guys who've gone through hell) but in general l find the men here pretty decent tbh. Actually some really nice guys who are in my more mundane hobby subreddits too.

The purple pill debate subreddit is the only time I've backed out - just too wild for me.

Some of the MGTOW are hostile and I think it's not so much that women aren't allowed to join in, but the men want the men's voices (as this is their domain) to be listened to.

It's a good subreddit to read - but if you're a woman, prepare to take a backseat

I think this subreddit is about men's right and issues with them (there are a lot of them).

I think a lot of women (especially western ones) either don't want to provide any help, their "help" offers are something else or they don't understood problem.

I also remember rule 1 of this subreddit which describe what "mens rights" are and mostly agree with it.

Also, please note that I try hard not to specifically say my sex, gender or orientation on reddit. This is delibarate decision to avoid people making assumptions because of those.

One commenter or poster cannot speak for the entirety of any sub. If it a mod takes a particular stance that might be more indicative of the sub as a whole.

Anyway, this is a rights issue. If someone comes to lecture men about how they don't deserve the same rights as women or tries to gaslight men into thinking they have some ineffable privilege that can't be proven or disproven then that notion isn't going to be well-received. That's going to get a negative reception whether from a woman or blue-haired simp calling himself "Fate", or whatever.

The last few decades have seen a gigantic number of chameleons coming to MRM spaces and trying to pretend tone policing solves anything. There are a good number of men who are, rightfully so, sick of it and tend to hae a knee jerk reaction to women trying.
