Why would it be selfish and stupid? It just depends on the couple in question. Lots of men also do not want kids until his 30s and will delay having kids with his wife until he’s ready.

This used to be true in Russia, but is no longer the case. The average age of mothers giving birth to their first child in Russia is 28.9. Its about the same in all of Eastern Europe now.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a woman having a kid in her 30's, but I do think that women that plan on having a kid in their early 30's should start actively looking for the right relationship many years in advance. When I was dating at 33 I was bombarded by women my age and slightly older that wanted to get married and have a kid ASAP. That is a bad idea

First time hearing that. I would say it is fine, but not really safe considering healthy risks if she waits more than 5 years.

Eh, I don't know. When they want to? Just avoid teen pregnancies and geriatric pregnancies for health reasons and it should be alright.

I heard in Russia, women who give birth to their first child after the age of 24 are considered "old birth givers", and if a woman does not have at least one child by the age of 25, she is considered a failure as a woman.

She is not a failure of a woman. It can be a sign of a underlying issue. But that alone is not a sign of failure.

Mt girlfriend is 27 so.... I don't care.

We have talked about having kids and I am actually looking forward to it maybe in a year or two years from now when I can finish trade school and she can take time off from work because she wants to spend 6 months at least with the baby.

Putting cultural reasons aside, the healthcare in Russia is dogshit and that should explain to you why you want to have kids early, if at all.

Personally, I don't think it's stupid, but it's absolutely selfish. Not only you're having a much higher risk pregnancy with assorted disorders, you're also depriving your child of active (disregard this if you were young and fat) young parents that can actually keep up with his or her shenanigans. In 30s your whole life is in a completely different stage than in 20s.

In general, I've noticed that women in 30s have children more as an accessory to their life, like a Louis Vuitton purse or a cat, than a human being. It's frankly off putting.

Not selfish, but I would say its stupid. Its better to look after a kid when you were young vs when you are about to go into your middle age. Thats why russians say you are a failure if you dont have a kid before 25
