The term incel needs to be put to rest or, like with the n word, be shamed from anyone else using except actual incels. It has become the stupidest slur that is thrown around all the time for disagreeing with a woman online.

The original comedy bit was pretty disgusting, not just because of her blatant misandry or in the false narratives she is pushing but the level of support and cheer that she receives for it. His reaction to that clip was considerably better in comparison but still falling short in a lot of ways, but mainly in both of their disregard for how gender roles and expectations play a huge role in these dynamics, and how this negatively effects men. You cannot disregard these factors or look at them in any way that should be regarded as fair or natural, because they are objectively neither.

She prefaces her hate filled spiel by saying "I'm not talking about the shy guys" but the reality is that in many cases, shyness is a leading cause for not only invalidating men as sexual partners but also a justification to shame/belittle those men as well. Shyness prevents men from getting into relationships because so much of dating is founded on this idea that men must approach, men must pursue, men must impress, and men have to be competent/capable lovers without ever having to be taught. That is the dominant dynamic in the west and many other parts of the world. You can't downplay the negative effects of how men are judged or penalized for their shyness, as if it wasn't a big deal, because it is.

The other reality is this idea that incels are either, hateful/disrespectful of women or inherently bad partners. This is not true either. Most incels are good men, and would generally make good partners and fathers. They are simply denied the opportunity because there are generalized misconceptions and judgements that are socially accepted, and which are also artificially inflated through social media. That is not natural selection, because it is very much unnatural and artificially created.

Men also have the right to express their anger or frustration at the way society unfairly judges or resents them. When society told women that they were lesser women because they had short hair or played sports, they had every right to be upset and frustrated with these kinds of judgements. They would also have every right to be hurt by men collectively embracing this narrative and leaving them en mass. In the same way, men have every right to be upset by a society that judges them, quite harshly, for arbitrary traits that should not define them.

Sorry, dumb as fuck to say it, not only you take away the responsability we have as a Society regarding the mental health of people, but we also give an argument that leads to a passive view and lack of action on the matter. "Hey look, the guy just tried to kill himself, his genes did that to him, that is just natural selection". Fuck this guy, depression is not just a genetical disorder for him to say such stupid shit.

That been said, I do agree no one should be left behind, and the "jokes" of the "comedian" are just straight up shit jokes.

I hate this term. They're just men who are lonely or hurt, and may have different opinions than feminists. They just group them together so they can hate on them as much as possible and dehumanize them. "It's the bad men", there are bad women too, this isn't a man thing

Imagine society with unlimited resources. Where we solved all or almost all diseases, have unlimited quality housing, etc. This society can afford to rehabilitate criminals, support people who made bad life choices, etc. Because it’s “just money”.

This society (in most cases) can’t make unattractive person attractive, can’t give sex to everyone. In fact, this society will have even more sexless men than today.

So this guy’s logic when he compares incels to other groups of people doesn’t make sense. There will be more and more sexless and loveless men going forward as many men aren’t seen physically attractive to women and many women just aren’t as interested in sex as men are.

We need to help men to find other ways to self-actualise, build non-romantic close connections with people, and don’t feel “less than” for being perpetually single.

Do any of you know any Incels in real life? Because I have a lot of male friends and I wouldn't consider them Incels. Yeah sure, most of them aren't the brightest cookies or the hardest workers but they also aren't doing absolutely nothing with their lives. Like they just seem like normal dudes tbh.

Why? I think a key pillar of an incel is the belief they are owed sex for simply existing....and quite frankly, as someone who also feels this way, you cannot reason with that in any way, shape, or form.
