Yes yes and yes this should almost be kept as a secret. I'm terrible in clubs and parties but the amount of connections made by dancing in ballrooms last 3 months is unbelievable. No need to produce jokes, questions or anything, 100% of the times you can just go near a girl and lend her an arm without even saying a word or even knowing her name.

The only drawback is that I feel difficult to put things to the next level: people go to social dance to social dance, not really to disappear with a guy in a corner, and I also still have the feeling that going next gear might ruin things with people that I dance regularly with. But I admit having enough courage and boldness to be honest about my feelings is where I always lack most, so it's personal.

Anyway, even without closing, the physical contact and the fun about dancing helps immensely to feel good.

What sucks is how much time it takes. But dancing is really fun and the girls who dance are by far the hottest I've seen. They're not just pretty models to look at, they're hard workers and potentially make good partners down the line.

To add to this, if you can't dance but atleast have a little rhythm. If you're at a club with a dance floor find a girl that knows how to dance and ask her to teach you, or even another guy honestly. Its a great way to make some new friends or even get in with a group for a bit and learn to dance some. Plus it also shows a lot confidence that you don't mind going out there looking like an idiot with some girl leading you and spinning you while you mess everything up. Last check out your locals bars or clubs for dance lessons. One near me does a dance class at 8 every Thursday for the line dances they do every weekend, and you can meet people there who will be good dancers and might help you with other things too.

I don't disagree with you in premise, but it's one of those things where guys are trying really hard to avoid just talking to women.

None of this should take years, it's basic social skills. You unfortunately have to go through the awkward, weird, uncomfortable phase (where you won't get results) to be fun, express yourself with some confidence and be seen as an attractive, appealing option.

If it works for you, that's fair. Though, really, you were fundamentally uncomfortable expressing yourself, practiced at it, became comfortable, have a degree of competency where you can see results. The problem with the situational crutch is that outside the dance floor, you've lost it; it's effectively 'pickup lines' but 'dance moves'; outside of the moves you've practiced, where's the confidence?

I'm not trying to undermine what you're saying but, at least in my opinion, it's important to look at the core of what works; the enthusiasm, the self-assurance, the sense of status to express yourself as if you know what you're doing and translate that to all areas. That's specifically being confident in yourself. Otherwise, taking how someone else 'moves with confidence' and copying them is still a crutch.

Don't get me wrong, it works, until you're outside those constraints but for the people asking "have you slept with anyone because of your dancing?"; it obviously has to translate further than the dance floor, you can't process to be 'pretty quiet, timid guy' after the fact. She likes you while you're confident.

Or, just be born with a hot face. Girls will tell you if you're hot as early as middle school. If you have a hot / cute face you're basically born at the finish line.

Being hot to women is basically the closest thing a human male can have to a superpower, the gap between hot guys and everyone else is basically bigger than a billionaire and a regular working guy
