Many women lack the ability to be the bad guy in the story. Therefore, you must be the bad guy. In fact, even when women are cheating, tell you they want to get divorced, they still will want you to file. Why? Because then they can tell everyone that you're the one that filed, it's like it's get out of jail free card in her brain.

In my case together for 17 years, married 12 years, no kids. Ultimately she told me to leave the house, and I left. Once out of the house. I'd never been more peaceful and stress-free. She been threatening divorce, termination, telling me how horrible I am, how she has nothing, I don't love her, she doesn't respect me, I'm not a man, etc etc for years.

I ultimately filed for divorce and of course she was not only upset with me, surprised, but began to backpaddle and tried love bombing. I accepted the love bombing for a while because reasons, but kept telling her weed to work on our core issues. That lasted about 2 months before I said. Okay, that's it were done.

Since we don't have kids we have no reason to stay in contact and have both gone 100% no contact( except for her randomly dropping off boxes of crap outside my door before I moved).

I am 100% certain that she's taken on the victim role and will tell anyone and everyone that will listen how horrible I was, and for people that knew both of us how horrible I was in secret. The goal is indifference and apathy. I truly don't care what she does, what she tells people, or anything about her life. My only remaining goal is to pay off my spousal support which ends in May. After that no entanglements and I'm 100% free.

Mine was threatening it, so I gave it to her. She tried to backpedal when I said I had a lawyer. She was served, then tried to backpedal and I simply said tired of you yelling at me and kids, no sex, and you refusing to work.

My ex asked for the divorce. Moved out after 5 months in-house separation. Filed for divorce. Now after 11 years divorced, she’s telling our adult children that I wanted the divorce.

After my ex cheated, we reached an agreement on custody, child support, asset split, and alimony. Once we had a signed agreement, I filed the divorce petition with the agreement. Based on me being the one to file, she’s telling everyone I left her. Unfortunately for her, her affair got very public in a smallish town, so most people know what really happened.

The good news for you is you don’t have to give a damn about what she thinks or says anymore.

Yeah my wife refused any intimacy or even dates or trips for over 5 years and also wouldn’t go to therapy or discuss anything directly without attacks. So then when I eventually cheated after 4 years of that she kicked me out of the house (she said if I refused to leave she would take the kids to her parents), then when I got settled she wouldn’t let the kids stay at my place. Then she started requesting money for all kinds of stupid things before we ever had any agreement. So in order to get things moving I filed for divorce, so she ran around telling everyone I cheated on her and filed for divorce.

Some folks want to be victims. It helps them escape accountability, perception, and scrutiny. File, lawyer up, and let her be herself. You don't need her in your head not paying rent.
