Imagine telling women to "step up" and go into Engineering, Tech etc and not HR, librarian, if they want to close the earnings gap.

Any other way shall be condemned as "Misogyny" and "Toxic Masculinity"

Its not just a lack of role models
Young boys aren't stupid.. the are watching as men are constantly being demonized, vilified and generalized on a daily basis as "Evil" or "Predators" or "Abusers"

And so they are growing up learning from an early age that they are going to be blamed for everything.
So is it any wonder these boys are becoming more anti-social and more distrusting...

How about women "step up" by actually staying with the baby's father so that their kids have a male role model in the house!

Is anyone going to deny that women certainly won’t fix it, so it’s a choice; either men try to fix it, or just give up. If you were a boy again would you want men to give up on you? It’s true that it’s more difficult now; in the past you could volunteer without instantly becoming a suspected pedo that had to be checked out.
