When you mention literally any issue that disproportionately affects men, a common gotcha from feminists is “and who created that system?” Implying we shouldn’t speak about our issues because they’re caused by the patriarchy, which we created.

One problem with this gotcha (assuming the patriarchy even exists) is it implies collective guilt, you're blaming 99% of men for the system less than 1% of men created. The average man in history had very little to no control over institutions, they were mostly peasants, soldiers, or slaves, not rulers, they were just as subjected to the system as women. 

However, another problem with this gotcha is according to even feminist scholars, women had a role in creating and cultivating the patriarchy too:

She claims that it is likely that women accepted sex-segregated tasks in their societies long before it led to sex-based oppression.”

If men as a group sat around a table and created a system for their own benefit, why does it consistently put so many men in harm’s way? (Majority war and genocide victims, dangerous labor, homelessness, harsher punishment, lower empathy, suicide rate, lack of research in healthcare, etc).

PS: I’m not saying the patriarchy is real, only that even in their own ideology their gotcha argument still doesn’t work.
