No, that's shouted only to women. Men have to watch every thing they say and do, since it's so easy to be labeled a creep, or difficult. Even if it's a small number of women doing it, the consequences are severe enough to warrant men staying away.

Maybe women who don't do this should call out their friends and relatives who do?

Western society is misandrist. There is no such thing as the Patriarchy. Rich and successful men are opposed to men being successful. As you see men are less rich and successful since feminism and the gap between the rich and poor (especially the middle class) increased during feminism.

Men can't just "chill out" around women. If a man says the wrong thing, or even something that could be misconstrued, it will be weaponized against him. The only safe option is to disengage. This is the world that women (and weak men) created.

You just aren't worth the trouble. There is no upside to interacting with you. The best possible outcome is neutral.

In a work environment, I am more cautious with what I say with men or women. I can become more unfiltered with those I trust though. I have worked with both vindictive men and women, so cards are usually close to my chest, but always leave a couple of areas exposed as well. Never leaving my professional areas exposed at all.

Have to be careful. Life can be ruined at any moment by a woman for any reason. The state exists to enforce their will. To be a man is to wear a mask. All male spaces where we could be ourselves have been systematically eliminated. Men who support other men are considered dangerous. Despite what is said, men who open up and express themselves are also considered dangerous. Opening up often also makes women in our lives uncomfortable unless it's purely positive and validating.

Men can only open up today if they truly trust the person.

The shit that goes in my mind isn't fit for polite society, so I keep the majority of my thoughts to myself, with both men and women. But yes, you need to be extra careful with women.

This is nothing new. I'm 50 and I remember hanging out with my grandpa and his friends as a child, and the talk among just the men was very different than with their wives.

You have to understand that women, all women, in his life has always demanded that the adjust how he speaks and what he says to her taste. This is not a new feminist thing either, it's just what women in general do.

And so men usually created spaces where they could be with other men and do things they wanted to do.

This one girl told me there was this one time she was taking the bus to go to a STEM thing and the bus driver didn't immediately believe she was in the STEM field (im making this vauge intentionally just so that someone doesnt accidentally recognize me or her).

Now, I get there is this stereotype that pretty women aren't nerdy types and she was definitely very pretty, but the way she was trying to play it off as a joke when she was very obviously offended was just confusing to me; ever since I had met her I had honestly never doubted her intelectual abilities.

Other women in STEM fields Ive met also act lile this sometimes and im really never sure if it's them thinking that this is how they have to act so other men accept them, because it really isn't, or if this really is an issue of them not being taken seriously. Regardless, there doesn't seem to be any way to cut through the bullshit and teach men and women to get over themselves and treat each other as people.

I always feel like I can't explain things to women without using an overly gentle approach or I'll be accused of "mansplaining." When I explain things to men instead, I feel such a weight off of my shoulders.
