I had finalized my divorced a few months ago. Good thing is that we don’t have children and is agreeable with how we split our assets. We are no longer in contact with each other so that part is resolved.

Before i knew my exwife, i had many different friend groups which kept my social life active. Throughout the years, most of us got married and some have kids. Many empathised with my current state but they cant relate to my experience which is understandable, and i also tried to maintain my distance so to not affect their marriage.

Being a divorced men in the mid 30s, i am stucked in a way as i can no longer hang out with my married bros on daily basis like how we used to, and those that remained single have their own life as well that i cant hangout with them daily. I have becoming more active at sports and gym but that only takes up an hour of my time per day. I’m still rebuilding my finances so going on a long holiday to grief and have fun is out of question for now.

So my issue now is this, what do i fill my time with after work? I tried:
1) Dating/fwb - turns out my personality doesnt match with fwb culture as our conversations always become too deep and emotional rather than light and casual. Or perhaps i just lost the skill to charm a girl into bed? And meeting new girl everytime is getting expensive since i pay for the first date (yes, I’m from a traditional country)

2) exercise - only takes about 1 hour/day

3) Gaming - it gets tiring and bored after some time

4) gogobar equivalent - while not exactly gogobar, but there are many such bars in my country where you buy lady drinks to have a girl talk to you with some physical touch. I cant do that everyday too since I’m rebuilding my finances.

What other thing can I do after work hours? I normally have 3-5 hours of free time daily to think of what life could have been like…and that is getting depressing. I think i may have lost my purpose after divorce, as before then my purpose is to provide for my family which is now gone. Anyway, what to do now?
