If it doesn't represent TRUE facts and figures it is just as misleading and incorrect as the first one that was posted. So while this is subjective humour based from an ignorant infograph it's not we should be portraying to the outside community.

What's the source on the numbers for this? You know that anyone who sees it in a facebook feed will demand the source (if they comment at all), there's hardly any point in posting it until you have the source ready to go in advance.

Rape can occur without leaving physical evidence - so I don't think how much it does occur can be compared to how much it is reported - there isn't a way to collect that data. The people I know who have been raped/ molested haven't ever reported it.

The original infographic was bad because it didn't show it's sources, didn't explain what came from where and oversimplified the issues.

If you want to really fix this info graphic then there should be

Cases not investigated

Cases investigated but charges were withdrawn

Cases where the victim refused to cooperate with the prosecution

Cases where there wasn't enough evidence.

Cases proven false

Cases unable to be proven or disproven

Cases that led to arrests

Cases that led to arrest but prosecution wasn't able to prove their case

Cases where arrest and conviction occurred.

Cases where the conviction were false.

And I imagine a few other topics too.

As a multiple assault and rape victim woman, I think this is ridiculous. We dont need this many men as rapists to justify being afraid of them. The guy could have killed me. He was a 1 in 100 kind of guy, and that's enough for me to justify the fact that I no longer find joy in romantic relationships with men. This graph doesn't do anything for women.

This looks good. If you were to change anything, the only thing I'd advise would be to add the word "Alleged" before "Rapists" at the top.

I'd be interested in seeing a break down of the "reported/faced trial/convicted".

The way it was originally presented it made it appear as if every single one as a rapist and most got away with it.

A great many could have been false accusations that were never proven false (hard to do to begin with) but were shown to be so completely without merit that they were tossed out after a police investigation, or in the courts.

This is better, but I believe the percentage of falsely accused is closer to 25-30%. There's no need to overstate our case.

Yes! This one looks much more like reality.

Now we should spread it wherever the false graphic has made an appearance. A bit of documentation about sources probably wouldn't hurt.
