COTWA leader and perhaps the most respectable, level-headed, upstanding member of the MRM appears to be stepping down.

I am unclear on the reasoning, but I implore him to not do so.

To say he is vital to the movement is an understatement. His work, his public discourse, and his standard for content have stood as shining examples for the MRM of professionalism, quality, and focus.

COTWA and Pierce tackle the most troubling and important issue that the MRM faces. He approaches solving the problem with such care, vision, wisdom, impartiality, kindness, and passion--I do not hesitate to say there is no one else on the scene like him, and no better leader amongst the many who have gained prominence through the MRM.

Pierce, if you leave, a pillar upholding the entire MRM structure will vanish. I can't tell you the number of times I have looked askance at the choices made by other spheres of the MRM, felt trepidation, and then reminded myself that the COTWA and Pierce were always there.

I think of you as the most important part of the movement, with the most just cause. No matter what, you seek fair treatment for all sides, act courteously, and choose the noble option to pursue. I am tempted to say I have yet to see you choose wrong or act immaturely.

This is heartbreaking news.

Edit: I won't hesitate to say I am getting somewhat choked up over this news. I feel a great welling of despair.
