Back story- my stepbrother shares her posts all the time. Currently in an argument about it because he thinks women only belong in the home, and that I, as a single working mother, should have tried harder to save my marriage with a LVM “if you had tried harder to make him enjoy being home, it would have worked out”.

Can a wife change her husband? No. But it is up to other men to teach him how to be a good husband.

The Bible calls for husbands to "love their wives like Christ loves the Church, and gave himself up for her." Men are supposed to put their all into loving their wives. To forego controlling her and instead make sure she has everything she needs, put her first, to really CHERISH her- to the point of giving up their lives if necessary.

It's not like it would be some kind of sin for women to tell other women this, that's ridiculous. It's not wrong for a woman in a Christian relationship (you know, like the Biblical ones that Lori pretends to advocate for) to call her husband out on his bullshit.

In one way, she's right. You can't teach your husband how to love you..

But she's wrong in her assumption that, if wives change themselves, they can influence their husband to change.

He'll only change if he decides to. It has nothing to do with what the wife does.

And no woman worth her salt will wait around for some dude to change for her. She'll just go find someone who doesn't have that particular dealbreaker.
