You can read my last post here. So here's an update, and I would appreciate it if any one can critique my form.

So for some background, we met with some associates tonight about a long term career prospect. I'll keep the details vague, but it looks really really good. I set this up on my own initiative and it's something me and the wife have talked about for a while and now it's happening. We are both really excited about it. It's one of those things that's risky and slightly frightening, but more so exciting and refreshing. I am very pleased with things, and the vision that I have for our family. Wife is also thrilled. Long story short, things are looking good and the ship is right where it needs to be, and heading for even better waters.

Now, as I mentioned in my last post, everything is just freaking grand, we have the perfect marriage minus the bedroom. We get home from the meeting, wife's on cloud nine, full of emotion. I'm stoic about it all, as I am naturally stoic and not emotional. She gets a shower, and I take the baby for a bit. When she gets out I sneak a peak and she has shaved down stairs. Hmm. She takes baby and puts him to sleep. I check work email and she comes and presses against me and rubs my back a bit, very kino-esque. Hmmmmmm. Says she's going to bed. I'm thinking the caveman's going to pay her a visit there.

I follow soon after to the bedroom. We talk for a bit about the day, and she's on a roller coaster of emotion about the meeting. It's the "I'm so excited, but scared, and I can't believe this is really happening!" I respond with a nice manly "believe it baby."

She goes on and on for a bit and I start initiating. Conversation is getting boring. Before long I'm on top of her, and Mr. Happy is now Mr. Rock solid if you catch my drift. Start kissing her neck, start grinding a bit. She is generally starfishy.

Her: "Babe, im just really tired tonight, all I can think about is sleep."

Me: "Oh yeah? Think about how good your gonna sleep after this"

Her: "Yeah but the baby will wake up in two hours and I will only have gotten an hour of sleep."

Me: "you give me too much credit." continues initiation

Her: "Seriously babe, im just not turned on"

Me: "I guess I've got alot of work to do then." doesn't slow initiation

You know that meme picture of willy wonka? Where he looks all sarcastic?That's my tone during all this so far. Kind of Cocky/Funny, I'm ignoring you because your talking out of your butt attitude. I continue, then she grabs me with the serious face.

Her: "I really dont want to do this tonight, I promise we will tomorrow.

Me: "Tomorrow just means no."

Her: "No, I promise we will. hamster hamster hamster"

Me:"Oh. I thought you were turned on earlier." (the hamster had mentioned something about not being turned on. I didnt say this in a butt hurt way, but still probably shouldn't have said it.)

Her: "I have no idea how you thought that."

Me: climbs off "Alright, suit yourself."

I set the alarm clock, then went to the other room. I do this every night before bed, where I am alone for a time of prayer. I dont think she would interpret this as a butthurt leaving crybaby sort of thing, but I honestly dont care. I had a great 30 minutes of prayer, and came back to bed feeling great, like a new man. She was still awake, and we had a brief but cordial exchange, then five minutes later she was dead asleep.

Where is the line between last minute resistance shit tests and rapey-ness? I feel good about the way I handled things, OI was rock solid. I still feel good, even without sex. I know what some of you will say, be clear about your needs. I'm not going to say I want sex this many times a week, because what I really want is her to WANT to have sex, not a contractual obligation sort of thing. I want the lust and passion we used to have. My plan is to try again at a different time of day. If you read my previous post, I think at night after baby goes to bed she may legitimately be too tired. We haven't got the little booger on a schedule yet, so it is really hard but maybe if I see a window I can try again and see how she responds. I want to come home from work, carry her to the bedroom and rip her clothes off without saying a word, pound her harder than I ever have before then get up and read a book and eat a sandwhich. Any tips? Anything jump out at you that I am overlooking?

note: my smv is much improved, and though I am still improving, I'm quite happy with my gains. Wife has noticed said gains on several occasions. It is higher possibly than it has ever been, and things have been GOOD sexually, in the past.
