What struck me most about this article was when the woman outright says, "Masculinity is just becoming something that is imitated from the movies."

That's really the crux of it. Nobody's a man any more. Nobody just goes out, does their thing, and is a man by default. Instead, people have to stop and think, "Okay...so now what would a real man do in this situation?"

That's partly the reason why we have this whole world of PUA, seduction, Red Pill, and other bullshit out there. Because men don't know how to be men, so they learn how to imitate man-like behaviors to attract women. And women don't know that they actually like men, so they learn how to convince themselves otherwise while banging pretentious pricks.

This woman isn't a feminist as we know them, she clearly believes in gender roles. Stick her somewhere in the middle east and she's a feminist, but not in the first world.

Masculinity is thoroughly penalized in our society to succeed you must be overly feminine and accommodating.

It started with the slow transformation of the classroom.

"Formal learning" is sitting back passively and accepting domination (lecturing) without any real feedback or input. Of course girls and effeminate males are going to do better in that type of educational system than boys will.

If a young male wants to interact or do some kinesthetic learning he is drugged into effeminacy.

I'm not sure why things are different now than in the past but one thing is more apparent - it's that masculine women are rewarded more than feminine women and there's very little incentive for men to be tough. Maybe it was always like that but I doubt it. Women are uglier now than they have ever been and men are more feminine than ever.

It reads like an Onion article. "Lesbian feminist believes military experience in government is a requirement, differences in the sexes, and people have a right to verbally bash gays. Its like she actually thinks!"

I have no problem with gays at all, and I have no problem with people saying things I don't like or agree with. When you limit people in what they can say or think it does a disservice to everyone. How are we to know in advance if someone is an asshole or jerk if they are not allowed to inform us?

wtf is masculinity anyway? its just different expectations(sometimes contradictory) in different people, and some NOTs (a masculine man isn't overly sensitive to his looks being the most common 'NOT')

how about biological masculinity? now that is clearly defined. definitly has a role considering the increased need to be adaptable and be skilled at an monotasking skill in todays world, working in a demanding STEM related field.

and ofc the advantages of greater strength with none of the costs associated with maintaining said strength due to food abundance (a young 80kg guy with an engineering job he commutes to via public transport is burning like 3000 calories a day, vs about 1800 for a female in the same position food is cheap,time isn't)
