Y'all. RPW works.

My SO and I were discussing the engagement of a family member of mine over dinner and he mentioned that he had been thinking more seriously about us getting married. I tried not to have a heart attack and asked him in what way.

Long story short, he wants me to start looking at rings and sending him ideas so we can do this thing at some point over the next couple of months (of course, with the caveat that life continues to treat us well- I understand that things happen and plans get pushed back). I'm beyond thrilled! I love this man and I am so proud to be his partner and future wife.

You all have been there since before the beginning- when I was lurking and mocking this sub. When I started seeing the truth in it. When I cut the nonsense and went nun mode. When I found my man and wanted to learn how to keep this one. You all have given me so much guidance, and I thank every single one of you for sharing your wisdom. I strive to continue to better myself for my own benefit and for the benefit of my relationship. This sub inspires me to become the best me I can possibly be, to live with a kind heart, and to never give up on myself.

On to the girly part: help me pick a ring! We both are financially minded (saving for bigger purchases, like a house) and don't see the point in spending on expensive stones- to be honest, I'm even alright with cubic zirconia as long as it's cut and set well. I love sparkle, but I don't feel especially attached to diamond or moissanite. Nor is my work so hands on that I need to be terribly concerned with finding the toughest stone.

I love a good solitaire look, but halos have grown on me too! I love the look of an e-ring with the smaller stones inlaid along the band to accentuate the bigger sparkly. I'm fine with silver or gold, either is good.

Any ideas for rings? Any advice for a young woman preparing for this new season of life? I'm accepting it all!
