In almost all circumstances where I'm offered a job worth relocating, I'd take that shit. In this circumstance my wife has to do the work, so I'm not sure how it's even a question. Yes, of course.

Purple and yes but only if it means we can continue to support our household. If she gets a job earning peanuts, and no matter how passionate she is about it, we cannot live on love and fresh air alone. I might try to dissuade her or I might try to find a job in the same place so we can make ends meet.

Purple. My ex and I broke up because she got a job within her conpany in the US, in NYC. We were both in the UK, at the time. I wasn't adverse to it but after looking into moving (job prospects mostly) I decided it wasn't worth it to me. There wasn't any way for me to get a job I can do, enjoy doing and get paid what I'm paid now. Plus US immigration is a pain.

To me it would have been a slow death on the relationship anyway because I think I would have been miserable due to being apart from family and friends, exacerbated by doing a job I didn't like for less money. I would have ended up resenting her.

We're still really close friends though.

I think if I could have made it work well for me, I would have gone.

Blue pill. I would relocate depending on the level of relationship I'm in. If the relationship is just beginning, obviously not. But if I've been with the woman for many years and I'm deeply in love with her, I'd give up any job.

Purp. Depends on my situation and the state of our relationship. If I had a sweet job in a great city? It'd be harder to leave it. But if I felt like I could get opportunities wherever she was moving, and our relationship was solid, I'd make the move.

The circumstances would depend. A life choice like both relocating and having your spouse quit their own job(if being reassigned isn't an option) requires a serious discussion.

More red leaning and no if it is very far. Chances are, I'd be bringing more than 2x she is and it wouldn't be worth traveling too far. Esp. since I'd be able to support her till she finds another role, if she still wants to work.

If, for instance, it also means relocating any children as well (assuming they're in a good school etc) in the current location then that gives another reason for the no.
