Why I Quit Dating Girls Who Club, Party, or Drink

Ironically, the fact that the author of the quoted post enjoys the party lifestyle and also loves the girls in said lifestyle is precisely the reason why I, a non-clubbing woman, would never date someone like him. If I like reading, going to museums and aquariums, enjoying a cup of tea and a good movie at home, or hiking in the woods...why on earth would I want a male bar-slut who likes drinking, loud music, drunken people, and racking up his N with women he met an hour ago? I know opposites attract, but there's a difference between dating a guy who complements your personality, versus dating a guy who is oil to your water.

Any other non-clubbers agree?

What's hilarious about this is that all the judgy judgy hard judgement of girls who sometimes go to clubs or out with friends is coming from a bunch of people who mostly stay inside most of the time.

I go out from time to time to clubs and bars with freinds and even be behind the DJ. It's possible to do it without anything going up your nose or your skirt. I know this to be a fact.

Why do guys do this? I've never bought a woman a drink in my life. I've only once bought a meal on a first date and that was because she'd come miles out of her way to pick me up, so I felt it'd be the right thing to do. She offered to pay half, I should have taken the money.

By "party girl," I don't just mean girls who go out five nights a week, get smashed, and pick up dudes, either. I'm including even girls who go out once a month; who have girls' nights out at bars, parties, or nightclubs sans boyfriends; and who drink to anything more than just mildly buzzed. Does this make me a hypocrite, since I go to clubs and parties and I drink?

Personally, I completely understand why you wouldn't want a 'party girl'. I hate nightclubs and 'partying'. But drinking is such an ingrained part of the culture in Britain you're basically ruling out everyone who doesn't follow Islam, certainly among young women. Between the ages of 18 and 25, I don't think I've ever met anyone female that doesn't drink and go on 'girls nights out'.

If a guy is a party guy then I don't see why he should have a problem with party girls. I don't like party girls because I'm not even close to being a party guy.

Your problem is not filtering for a party girl or not. Your problem is filtering for someone with a complete disregard for responsibility or respect for you.

TRP takes an overly simplistic view of party girls in the same way that many of the users completely miss the point on chad. Asshole's don't do well with women because they are assholes. They do well because they commonly have traits that women find attractive such as confidence and being sexually aggressive.

Likewise, party girls are not bad partners because they're party girls. They are bad partners because they do things before they think, consistently put themselves in compromising situations, are novelty seekers, with impaired judgement and often no concern for how their present situation is affecting them and those around them.

It's possible to date a party girl who doesn't have all these negative qualities who is smart about her surroundings and respects her relationship. By respecting her relationship i mean not putting herself in a situations that would strain your relationship or hurt your feelings or even has the potential of doing so.

This is so general even I fall into this category and I don't consider myself a party girl. I also never have to worry about my gf at a club, she tells everyone that approaches her that she's with me.

Dated a nice girl that ended up becoming a party girl in college after joining a sorority, and I lost all respect/desire for her. The relationship dragged on way too long after that. I'm never exclusively dating a party girl again.

It's hard for me to respect women that can't survive unless they go out, party, and get drunk every weekend night. Granted I used to be one of those guys getting wasted 3 days a week when I started college, but I rarely drink now.
